A contest section would work pretty well actually, we could have art contests, music contests, etc. Yeah a contest section would be pretty fun, like we said in the "will there be another CT tourney" thread it would be a good idea to nominate neutral people to judge, Kayorei you are a good idea for that but only if you want to as you are very busy, and Lighteffexor is a great candidate. Nominate neutral people, eh? I'd nominate LE, Kayorei, Legoman and Foozedude, personnaly. These folks are the most neutral people I ever met on the Internet:P

Well, in certain cases, there's no avoiding favoritism.
For example, in an art contest, I personally might give lower marks to a realistic-style drawing as opposed to something more cartoony even if it's generally the same picture, mostly due to the fact that realism isn't really my cup of tea. Bad example, I know, considering there are a lot of realistic-looking pictures that I've found myself to like, but still. Off topic.
Contests... Good in theory, yes, but it takes a lot to organize something like that properly (*glances at Mollettman's Brawl tournament*), not to mention coming up with a reason to compete other than for the sake of competition. Sadly, you don't get many competitors if you don't have a prize attached.
Anything else?

I personally thought when I made the Brawl tourney that it was well organised. But others misunderstood which is when the chaos started. Round 1 went incredibly well except the Divineall/Armadox problem however that was sharp dealt with. The part where it went down alot was when Omni started complaining and wouldn't stop. Anyway yes I would say that contests take alot to start off and that people may prefer one type of drawing to another however thats why we would have multiple judges, around 3?

Hmmm... content??? Maybe this site can help you with the organization as well as gathering idea for the contents of the CT site: www.cosplay.ph/news.phpYeah... minus all the cosplay stuff and the pics, that site would make a nice template, IMO.

Giving one once per season... I would take 4 years to have 16 personnal boards hehe. However, I would rather NOT have art contest IMO. I say that because there are only very few poeple having REAL drawiing skills... I'd say a better organised Brawl/MKW/Pokemon tournament would be the best, since there are more people good at those, and there is no need of a judge (Exept in case of cheating)

That pretty much restricts it to members of the forum and/or active Challenge Takers. On a full website, it'd give the image of "CT or GTFO," and we don't want that.
On a side note, giving out mod powers or boards like that is probably the worst thing one can do for the well-being of a forum.

On the topic of prizes, on another forum that I used to be a member of, (can't quite remember where) the prize for something like that would be rights to advertise your site on that forum for the month until the winner of the next contest came forth, and so on. Just to throw an idea into the pile.

Just to throw an idea into the pile. The thing is... I already suggested we all advertise our own website, and I think Kayorei added my idea to the list of suggestions...

I think what's being suggested is something like a banner ad on the front instead of a faceless link in a list. Which sounds like it'd work. It also opens up the possibility of others who don't take challenges that own their own websites to have incentive to join. You could even just direct link to your YouTube channel if you chose.
I suppose it'd work until the possibility of offering something more material comes up, though other suggestions along these lines would be great.
News, site archive, and events... Do we have any other ideas for other sections?

How about a guide to become a CT? I mean we all each have our own series speciality (LE has sonic, I have DKC, Shinji has Yoshi's island) We could all tell people what do they need to become a full fledged CT ?

... *kicks self for not thinking of it sooner*
That one should have been obvious. ^_^* Thanks for bringing it up. *adds "About CT" to the list*

Well I suppose I could show people how to become a CT'er in Fraxy and maybe MMX8 IF I unlock it. MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL! Anywho if it's a prize to advertise your website if I was to win I would likely relinguish the prize to 2nd place as I would just enter for fun ^^.

News, everyone! [/farnsworth]
The new website is almost finished! Everything's compiled except for our website archive. Once that's put together, I'll line up the hosting, test functionality, and all the other good stuff I can't do offline, and we'll be good to go. But before I can put together an archive, I need stuff to fill it with.
If you want your Challenge Taking site in the list, post it here in this thread. YouTube channels can be accepted, but I'd prefer an actual webpage.

Considering I've mostly retired from CTing as well, I guess it won't make much sense for me to give you any link or so.
Anyway, I'm glad that page is coming together so well. ^_^
