There will be guidelines for submissions to the main site, naturally, but I'm not entirely sure what would be submitted to the CT section that would require guidelines apart from events. Eh, no, I realize now that putting guidelines on something like art or music is foolish, aside from maybe no explicit sexual content.

Hm, question. Does everyone get a page, or just the major CTs who already have subforums here? And does everyone still get a chance with a regular forum on the site? Everyone who chooses to make a site and informs me of its existence gets a spot. You'll have to find hosting, though, since supporting every CT under the sun will be beyond my capacity. What do you mean by "everyone getting a chance with a regular forum"?

Well, as stated in the "Glimpse into the future of CTForum" thread, no one's going to be getting personal boards. There will still be challenge taking on the forum, it's just that everyone's going to be in "CSE", for lack of a better way to put it.
If that's what you mean. You still weren't really clear.

Though, as stated in the other thread, only the currently popular challenge takers are really going to get any challenges. That's a fact you can't change about this.
We need to figure out some way around this...

The decision was made quite a while ago - that was the lesser of many evils Kayorei had to choose from. You can't change popularity, so grouping everyone together gives everyone a chance, rather than definitely giving certain privelages to 'veteran' members.
Plus, you can set Thread Descriptions and subscribe or bookmark them for updates delivered through either PM or email, so the issue of 'latest post' will not matter much.
There's no use in squabbling over it - unless you have a new idea already formulated?

You're right, and I don't. =\ No reason to fix something that's not broken.

Are we still resetting everybody's challenge count, then, if the category idea is out? For that matter, do we even have an approximate release date yet?

With the scrapping of the tier system came the scrapping of the challenge count reset idea.
I'm currently adjusting to having my own machine again, not to mention I have several people breathing down my neck for other projects, so there's going to be a small delay. I still have to finish compiling and reviewing all the content entries (and some of those are massive!) and I still have to find for certain what we want to put on the CT section, since we apparently decided to shift discussion from the site to the forum. ¬_¬
I can't give an exact time. Giving me a deadline just gives me incentive to procrastinate. Besides, I'm no good at saying how long something is going to take. It could be up by the end of the year, it may take until February. I can't say for certain.

In my opinion you should take as long as you need to, I mean on your internet life you have all these things to review and stuff like that and in real life you likely have a job and other important things to do, so this isn't all too high of a priority, especially considering we still have a CT forum running at the moment.

I agree. I'd prefer a carefully planned forum, rather than a rushed forum. So, take your time, I don't feel like there's any major ergency for the new forum yet....

I third Mollet's comment. Take your time. I'm still happy with the forum we have for now.

Even with all the stuff about the forum, that still doesn't answer my problem with what I'm going to be doing about the main site's section for Challenge Takers... I've mostly retired, so this doesn't concern me as much as it could. I'm doing this for the sake of everyone else and I need input.
I have a "news" idea and I have the "personal site archive" idea and that's it. Hardly enough to merit a full site, just enough to call it a single page.
Unless you guys want your only representation through me to be through the forum.

How about some kind of contest section? Not tournaments, but countest overall?

A contest section would work pretty well actually, we could have art contests, music contests, etc. Yeah a contest section would be pretty fun, like we said in the "will there be another CT tourney" thread it would be a good idea to nominate neutral people to judge, Kayorei you are a good idea for that but only if you want to as you are very busy, and Lighteffexor is a great candidate.
