Yeah. It just came out about a week and a half ago.
I've played it all the way to the end. It went by fast due to the computer being easy to beat, as always. It doesn't get all that challenging until you fight...ah I won't name him, that'll spoil it XD In fact I can't talk about half the stuff I want to talk about without spoiling.
In my opinion, though, SF3 turned out a whole lot better than SF2. (SF1 is still the best out of all 3.) They got rid of that Wave Command BS from SF2, Link Power has no bearing on the storyline at all, and now the version you play doesn't determine your elemental strengths and weaknesses.
Instead, they have a Style Change-like system, only to make use of it you have to get the "Noise Level" above 50% and I have no idea exactly how that works. Apparently it's like playing Poker with your cards (This game has a Poker theme which is completely stupid. What criminal organization IRL has theme naming anyways?) so my best advice is to use a lot of null-elemental cards with at least 100 power. Oh, and if the Noise Level goes over 100% you can get "Illegal Data", whatever that means. And if you go over 200%...you get to access extremely powerful cards...including one that grants an instant win.
...
You know, I've gotten the Noise Level to 500% before. Just saying.
And now they offer a limited edition (read: YOU CAN'T GET THIS W/O AR LOL) card, available to download on the Nintendo Channel. It's called Acid Arrest and it easily obliterates the first half of the game.
...
This is seriously a better game than SF2, I swear!

So what? It's not hard to get 500% i've gotten 999.9%!
Anyways... i like this game over SF1&2 because of all the new special features. BTW,illegal data is a card that isn't in the game's library. This means it is possible to get cards from SF1&2 in SF3.
There is also another secret card. A gigacard called METEOR OF CRIMSON. I won't tell u what it does, but i'll tell u that it does 600 damage!

This game is FAR superior to both Star Force 1 and Star Force 2. 2. Finalizing only gives an "instant win" card in ONE battle throughout the entire game, and that one case does not even require raising the Noise level. 3. As TGM stated, raising the Noise level to 500% is child's play, especially when Finalized. 4. The Wave Command system was actually much improved in this game. The only reason that you have no idea about it is because Capcom of America was forced to lock it. It still exists, however. 5. Raising the Noise level is "like playing Poker with your cards"...?? Hahahaha, where in the world did you get that idea from?!

I still can't forgive Capcom making Rouge so easy opponent. The best tactic on Rogue is: - Stay in the middle row - Use Squall when he attacks, followed maybe with BreakSabre and GreatAx. And to Ephraim: The Style-Change like system (Noise Change) works that way: - Your cards have a +30 boost, depending on the element - Your charged shot changes. BTW, which Noise Change you've obtained for the first time? Mine was (and still is) Gemini Noise.

I also got gemini and have kept it. I've already maxed my folder's mega cards to X level (Including ApolloFlame and Sirius.) Secret area is complete and only one giga card left. 999.9% noise level against Club Strong.
I'm glad they slowed Rouge down a little, his sword abilities in the other game was just insane. I've actually missed with the instant kill attack on the final boss. I've even tried challenging myself against him:
Any Buster Starting folder (no white or bro cards) No Ace Program

This game is win!
I wish I could get it but I can't for another year as England stopped getting American imports, plus the freaking European version will be region locked and miss out on pretty much everything aside the main story >_> GOD DAMN YOU CAPCOM!

I've got Ophiuca (sp?) Noise ATM but I'm changing it at every opportunity to try them all out. All 4 look balanced so choosing one out of four is gonna come down to preference.
Or I could pick the water one and spam Ice Stage + water attacks. That works too XD
P. S. I know what the Y button does this time. Just saying.

-Non-dimming Null-Elemental cards that overkill viruses will increase Noise by the same amount as the overkill margin. -Non-dimming Null-Elemental cards on bosses will increase Noise by an amount equal to half the damage dealt. -Any card used with Lock-On in PvP will increase Noise by an amount equal to half the damage dealt, regardless of element. -Any Mega Card used in PvP increases the Noise by 20%, and Gigas by 30%. You apparently read the the wrong FAQ: Noise Poker applies to the Noise Kaizou Gear, not raising Noise.

This is good. Thank you for the explanations.
Oh, except for #2. I ended the final battle with 50 HP, and I never did find this game's version of UnderSht. Soooo one hit and...............yeah.

Actually, you can't die during the 8000 HP version of the final boss.

It's true. You can't die in the final final battle. I should know because I only had one HP left, and even though I was in Black Ace mode I thought something along the lines of, 'No way I'm winning this battle, even if Black Ace is up.' Cue epic pwnage by moi.

Soooo one hit and............... ...And you would have been left alive with 1 HP, and no more damage would be dealt to you. As I said, it is literally impossible to lose.

You've got to be kidding me! That means Capcom did what Squaresoft has done before. This is just -- I...what is even the POINT of the FINAL final battle, then?!
And after practicing Illegal Data Acquisition I've collected a few TOTALLY BROKEN cards. They just won't stop destroying the game with broken...uh...crud! Many of these broken cards even dim the screen so neither the CPU nor human opponents can dodge...poop like StrongSwingX which will obliterate Gemini players because it dims the screen, is unavoidable, hits 10 times for 80 damage per hit, AND Ophiuca players can up that ante by 30 or more. That's why I like BN more: In SF there's no reason to think twice about putting a card in your folder.
And now for that thing I didn't want to spoil.
Now, as far as I know, Taurus DIED at the end of SF1. (And Cygnus, for that matter, as well.) WHY ARE THEY STILL ALIVE IN THIS GAME?! I mean it was kinda wierd when Taurus was in SF2 but I just went with the ghost excuse. But now, Taurus and Cygnus are brought back to life just so we can fight them again. Have you ever seen a series Ret Con itself?! *Is reminded of Myst 4* I mean you don't even get to fight Harp Note. Ooh, we get to fight Taurus, Cygnus and Rogue again...but not Harp Note? Oh yes, this game RULES. I also haven't seen head or tail of Cancer Bubble and Gemini Spark. And yet their cards are still in the game. (Or at least the former's is, I lost a WiFi battle because of it.)
Do yourself a favor when you fight your friends: Agree to the condition that neither side will use a card that dims the screen AND inflicts damage.
On the bright side, Jack, Queen and Ace at least put up a legitimate challenge.

Cancer Bubble cards and Gemini Spark cards are, i think so, Illegal Data. I've even obtained Gemini Thunder Giga Card as Illegal Data. I agree that Jack, Queen and Ace are challenging. Taurus Fire... *laughs* As for the dimming card, i've seen a video in which someone protected himself from SiriusX by shielding just before the attack.

On the bright side, Jack, Queen and Ace at least put up a legitimate challenge. ...Strong Swing only hits for all 10 hits if the opponent is panel-locked through AreaEater, and hits for a maximum of 5 hits otherwise. And, aside from that, the damage is actually quite variable, so no, it is not nearly as useful as other cards such as SiriusX. It was directly stated in Star Force 1 that Cepheus had the ability to revive his minions, as he even did so for the final scenario, which explains Cygnus. Taurus was revived as a "ghost" at first, as well, however he was then configured into a Wizard by Bud's Hunter-VG. As for Harp Note...why in the world would Geo want to fight Sonia? .....No offense, but I doubt that anyone should be taking battling advice from somebody who took until Star Force 2 to discover the existence of the shield.
