Well, several of us are over 16+ years old, so why don't we show/talk about stuff we grew up with? I mean, something that is over 10 years old that younger forumer here were born/were too young when that specified thing was popular/existed. One of the most memorable thing I can remember was my total fanboyism for the Backstreet Boys back in 1996/97. They were by far the most popular group in my entire city (among the young people, that is) And were most probably more popular than pokemon was in 1999/2000 (In my city, at least) I'm not sure if they still exist, but I know they made a couple of albums, the two firsts being the most popular of the lot. Here is the music video of my favourite song from this once awesome group, and also easily the best video they made. Which took 3 days to make, while 3 out 5 people couldn't eat and one could barely move because of their costumes. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=O6XE1XRiLeY People, you are invited to tell people about what marked your childoood. Of course, the younger people are also invited to post here too!

When I was growing up, the thing that had me hooked the most was game shows for kids on Nick. I always dreamed of being on one of those Nickelodeon game shows like Guts and Double Dare, and the ones I wanted to be in the most: Legends of the Hidden Temple and Nick Arcade.
The reason for being on Nick Arcade was simple: video game madness. I wasn't really much of a video game player before I discovered Pokémon, but I was open to try as many new games as possible. Legends of the Hidden Temple was simply epic. I knew as I got older and watched reruns of this show, that if I ever got passed the moat, I'd most likely pass through the Steps as well because, even though they were reruns, I'd answer the all questions almost flawlessly, despite the fact most were embarrassingly easy.
Nowadays, I'm somewhat more interested in getting on Wheel of Fortune. I haven't watched in in a while, but I seem to be a natural at solving those word puzzles in almost in instant. Must be from all that Legends watching...

Ahhh yes!
I remember Global Guts, Figure It Out and Legends of the Hidden Temple. I can't remember when the last time I watched any of them was... All I remember was the lol I had when Kenan Thompson or Kel Mitchel joined in FIO or whenever a contestant got caught by the Temple Guardians.
I also miss Clarissa (was it? Can't remember the title anymore) and Hey Arnold!.
I don't know if Yu Yu Hakusho was ever aired before in other areas out of Asia, but I remember when I was just about 4, they aired Yu Yu Hakusho in a Tagalog dub and it's still airing now after 15 Years with the title of "Ghost Fighter".
The same goes with Flame of Recca and Dragon Ball. Others of those famous anime re-runs included Slam Dunk, Shaman King, and Naruto.

Hmm... Nostalgia, huh?
Well, One thing I remember being obsessed with was the original Power Rangers. Then they made turbo force and it became crap T_T
There were also those great cartoons. Ducktales. Pinky and the Brain was in it's heyday. OH! Ren and Stimpy!
All the good comics were around back then as well, especially the best of the Sonic comics. I also like the Bruise Crew. Spawn was running strong too.
I could ramble on about alot more stuff, but it's late and I wanna go to bed. I may continue tomorrow.
I beleive it was "Clarisa explains it all"

lol... Sonic Sez. XD
Ren & Stimpy became an adult party show last time I checked. Fascinating how the kids then want it to appeal to them now, eh?
Angry Beavers and Rocco's Modern Life were cool too...
I just can't understand why they canceled Oh Yeah! Cartoons and replaced it with some of the Cartoons' own shows... Fairly Odd Parents and Chalk Zone deserved it, but The Mighty B and My Life as a Teenage Robot? I don't think so.

Heh, I may only be 14 but I still remember when I got stuck in an elevator when I was like 6. Not really a "good ol' memory" though.
I also loved to watch things like pinky and the brain, (epic cartoon =D) Fawlty towers (OMG only 13 episodes ever made for one of the funniest comedies in the history of the world) and lets not forget the awesome space comedy Red Dawrf.

Oh my... I grew up with the generations of cartoons before those most of you mentioned. My favourites: - Darkwing Duck (the only Disney series I really loved) - Sailor Moon - Mila Superstar - She-Ra - Wickie - The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog - Super Mario Bros. Super Show
and a lot of other animes and cartoons I can't think of right now.

I remember how awesome the 1st sonic shows were. I still watch some on youtube. Kids, it's fun to get hugged by someone you like, but if someone tries to touch you in a way or place that's uncomfortable, that's no good! <----- Best Sonic Sez ever. Scratch - Gimme some of that booze! <------ Best not Sonic line in a Sonic Sez. And that's why I have Sonic 2006 today. But it's hard, for a kid's game.

Well, One thing I remember being obsessed with was the original Power Rangers. Then they made turbo force and it became crap T_T Personally, I thought Power Rangers were pretty cool growing up, until Ninja Force came into view... then things spiraled way downhill from there for me. Wild Force was the last "good" Power Rangers team for me because it introduced a completely new concept for it's time: the Pink Ranger being replaced with the White Ranger. I mean, the color pink was so stereotypically used as a staple Power Ranger color for one of the girls up until Wild Force. It was a refreshing new concept to see a female White Ranger for a change. I was hoping they would do it again... but that's when Ninja Storm came into view and messed up almost every single thing I knew and loved about the Power Rangers. In fact, the seasons after Wild Force pretty much stunk, except Mystic Force for some reason, which I found halfway decent despite me being 18 after watching some of the episodes.

And that's why I have Sonic 2006 today. But it's hard, for a kid's game. I blame the camera. And yet they have extra hard missions as DLC... But I remember all of these shows despite the fact I'm 13. Power Rangers was good. The original was the best. I remember this one show that I had on VHS. It was cool. Virtual worlds, giant robots, and surprisingly not some sort of Power Rangers rip-off. Oh why it was the past that is better and still could kick the butt out of the crap we have today? hell I think I rather have an SNES than a wii... but not by much (if anyone asks, it was SSBB that made it hard.).

MM Power Rangers and Turbo Power rangers pwned. It wnet downhill after that. I just recently heard about the overshadowed Zeo Rangers, which, in the right timeline is placed between MM and Turbo.
Also: Divatox > Queen Rita in term of hotness. Although the Queen Rita cameo in the Turbo Ranger movie made me roll on the floor laughing.

No the camera is good enough. I still can beat Iblis Phase 2 without getting hit as Shadow/Sonic. And that camera sucked. It's just the bosses and the extreme difficulty of the levels! The level after Shadow is retarded and stays behind to fight Mephiles where you play as Rouge, well, I went through the whole level and went back to start by accident. BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE YOU GO THAT WAY!
