By the way, because it comes to my mind... DivineAll: Waluigi? Hrm. He sure is an interesting character, but seeing that Wario is in there outside of the Mario franchise (although the classic Wario is a possible costume for him), I wouldn't give my bets on Waluigi joining a possible SSB4. At least he was included as an AT. Also, noone knows what his relationship to Wario is - his brother, cousin or only a buddy? We don't know. He just was made up for Mario Tennis to give Luigi an evil counterpart. Also, he wasn't included in any of the other Mario franchise games but the multiplayer ones (Sports, Kart, Party, etc.). I kinda already knew this stuff, which is why I said back in my first post that Waluigi is the new Luigi: a sidekick with popularity not nearly as close enough to his more famous relative. If Waluigi is indeed the new Luigi, then after a couple more years or so he'll finally get his own game yet still not compare to Wario's fame. This is the same thing that happened when Luigi's Mansion came out for the GameCube. Sure he's more popular since it was out, but Luigi is still not popular enough to compare with Mario.

That's because of one important fact: Even in the games Luigi was the main playable character he only was looking for Mario after all. What Luigi needs is his own game away from Mario, not even him mentioned.
Besides Luigi is indeed more important than Waluigi or even Toad. Luigi was in the Mario franchise beginning back with Mario Bros. ^^

I actually know some people who like Luigi more than Mario. Strange, isn't it.
Waluigi does have a certain charm, though. Actually, and although this might just have been a decision of Next Level Games, Waluigi has more winning animations than anyone else in Mario Strikers Charged. Shows that he does have a pretty good fan backing. Again, I would like to see him get his own spotlight, but it's doubtful that it'll happen.
While I'm wishing for stuff here, a sequal to Luigi's Mansion, please. ^_^
As for Star Fox sales, while I do take your word for it, Fay, I still find it rediculous. Are people stupid enough to let one Starfox game, that wasn't completely made by Nintendo, might I add, set the tone for all Starfox games after? That's a pretty stupid way of thinking, if you ask me.
Also, I never did say that any third-party character can get in, just that Bomberman had been requested before. I can visualize Bomberman in a SSB game, but I'm sure Sakari would have to do some tweaking in order to make his moveset more than just throwing bombs.
On the subject of third-party characters, Geno wouldn't be a bad idea, but he'd be one of the harder characters to get permission for. I mean, if Square Enix is being stingy about releasing Super Mario RPG to Virtual Console, what are the chances their going to allow Geno in an SSB game.
Damnit, Square Enix! Get your heads out of your asses and give us Super Mario RPG for VC! [/rant]
*ahem* Anyway, on a slightly related note, is Panal de Pon available on Virtual Console? All this talk about it has gotten me curious. If it's a puzzle game, I think my mom would like to try it out. She loves puzzle games like Tetris and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.

I don't know if it's for VC existing, although it may be: Tetris Attack is the non-Japanese port of it - you may look for that one. It's easily one of the best puzzle games in Nintendo's history.

Moveset - Sure... they completely made up movesets for Fox, Captain Falcon, etc., so why shouldn't be someone able to make a moveset for Ridley? As for the size - erm... yeah. Because he's a boss in Brawl it doesn't mean that he isn't able to get his size changed. Do you remember Kraid? He was as big as Samus in Metroid. He was huge in Super Metroid. He was even larger in Smash Melee at the Brinstar Depths-stage. Also Ridley in the intro of Melee was nearly the same size as Samus was. Hey, now, to be fair we never even actually SAW Falcon or the Star Fox crew outside of their ships before the first Smash Brothers came out, so there wasn't even anything to base them off of. Ridley, on the other hand, has definitely been seen as such, so there isn't too much uniqueness to go for here. Besides, would it really feel as good if Ridley had some crazy moveset that came out of nowhere, especially since we've already seen his fighting style so often? "But...! Samus fought in her games, but she still has some new moves for her normal attacks!" Yes, but her original moves are still in there, as well. Grapple Beam, Charge Shot, Morph Ball Bomb, Screw Attack, Missile/Super Missile...They still held true to the original because the original actually had moves to go with, just like Ridley. As for the size thing...for one, don't use the original Metroid as a comparison. Kraid & Ridley were that size in the original because they had to be, for the graphics alone. Note that as soon as they had the ability to, though, they increased their sizes to what we know them to be today. Also note Zero Mission: the revamp of the original also increased their sizes, showing that it was to be the same even then. As for the Melee part, fair enough... Don't get me wrong: I agree that the series needs more love, and Ridley would be a better new member than most. Actually, Assault was pretty good, and brought back the spirit of the original games. Command was horrible, though, and Nintendo doesn't have the same excuse for it, either.

Truthfully, when the original Super Smash Bros. game came out, I didn't know who in the world Samus, Fox, Captain Falcon, and Ness were. I vaguely knew who Link was, but only vaguely.
The Smash Bros. francise does emphasise players to play more games or at least look up the games the players have never seen/heard before, I mean look at the one-shot characters!
Now that Brawl is coming out, I haven't played at least one game from most of the series I haven't heard or vaguely heard of since the original game and Melee came out. Good thing there's a Masterpieces mode. The only game that I've played from a game series that I haven't or vaguely heard of was Phantom Hourglass. Very good game. I'll like it even more once I unlock Toon/Wind Waker Link for Brawl if I get Brawl... and a Wii... somehow...

Well, honestly, Toon Link is the only character who is bothering me. A lot. <_<

About Star Fox...
Adventure is one of the WORST games for the GCN I've ever played. (Putting aside Pokemon Channel for being a bad "Hey You, Pikachu" copy.) It had good voiceovers, but the foot missions were awkward, and flying seemed different somehow.
General Pepper: Fox, ditch your team to go on a dangerous mission to a planet that can blow up any minute where a dictator will try all ways to kill you. Come unarmed.
As for Command, I LOVED the flying bit, but again... Awkward foot missions kill the Star Fox games.

It's one of the best Star Fox game created in the past 10 years! *backtotopicmode* Who do you think you wil ''main''? So far I think I'm going to main either Snake or Pit.

Falcon, no duh. Though I'm looking forward to see how the improved Peach plays. Yeah, I main Peach. Got a problem with that?
Other than that, Snake, Pit and Lucario.

I don't look to buying the game personally. I think their gimmicks are a bit to much in this game to really get excited about. I was hoping however for them to add in some of the lesser known heroes, like Rygar, Super Joe, or Kuros I remember from the NES.

What about Pit? *looks to Rekai's seisure, and steps over him to continue* Pit was a good start, and I'm kinda happy he's in, but there are many they could have pulled from that would have been interesting to see again. Jason from Blaster Master, Mark/Bert from Monster Party, Bub and Bob... Smash Brothers is a DAMN good way to show off the past of Nintendo, but it can also, as it's shown, give new life to old characters. Seeing Super Joe again would have truely pleased me, and I'd know there is chance a new Bionic Commando could happen. Maybe have a character from a yet to be released game to give them interest as well. What they did was fill the game full of gimmicks (Stickers, Smash orb, etc) that it complicated the idea of the game far to much. It's not a simple button masher to get lost in, with it's bright colors and friendly style. It's mutated into a metagaming system that requires you to know far more then just the characters. I think Brawl is going to flop.
