**Round 1 Challenge**
((Armadox the Butcher vs. Bardpado))
Game: Mega Man Xtreme 2
Clear Launch Octopus's stage, plus boss
Allowed Weapons: none
Conditions: Don't charge your X-Buster or combo with your Z-Saber. Don't swap characters.

You have one week to complete and post the challenge. Link to your tournament challenge video in this thread for it to be counted. Judgements on the videos will also go in this thread.
Presentation of the challenge is up to you, but there are a couple of guidelines I'd like you to follow...
- Please include scoring instructions in your video or in the description. - List Added Difficulty Bonus restrictions after the base restrictions, not in them.

(Props to you, Bardpado, for actively taking challenges in this game. Playing it for some research into how the game works was not an easy task... ^_^* Oh, and Armadox gave me a last-minute edit to the list of games that he would play for the tournament via PM, MMXtreme2 being on the list.)

TY! I'm soooo gonna lose to Armadox!ADB: No Armor parts whatsoever. No HP increments. Not Buster/Weapon increments or any other parts. Fight all 4 mini-bosses. (upon my opponent's request) *Goes to add score sheet* DONE!

Oh, bloody hell. I haven't even played this game, but I figured a side scroller was easier then BN. That looked wicked. I'll be along with my flop soon, but I doubt I'm going to be anywhere near as close to you in score..
Good game none the less, I just hope I don't bomb to bad...

Actually, if I were to score myself, I'd give be a 5 for style (Same tactic for all similar mini-bosses plus epic battles.) and a 2 for ease (I did a hell load of crud against Launch Octopus.)

XP I'm betting it at about even, turns out even though I got hit less often during the boss fight, because I didn't do completely perfect the judging populous feels it nessisary to score me pretty low on ease. I got a low score because without dash megaman doesn't MOVE fast enough for their liking. I can't change how fast the blue bomber moves, and really find it kinda asinine that they would penalize me for that. Or for not taking on a specific sub-boss... All and all this just shows me that the next time I won't go with my first natural run, and will practice run it a few times to make sure I have an excellent video, instead of to the best of my abilities on picking the game up.

Actually, my run was longer but easier because I took on all of the mini-bosses...

Once you lock in your ADB, I don't think you can add to it's list. Even if you just realized you missed one. My first sentence was how you made the statement on how yours was easier, Yes, it was, you took on all of the mini-bosses with a mini-gun. Autofire didn't even let the game have the chance to acknowledge a sprite change, as was what happened with the submarine. But, no matter, your use of auto-fire allowed me to call it as a ADB for not, weither I had the function or not, right?

Actually, the submarine really is like that... I've tried it multiple times and the radar falls off after 3 hits or 1 charged-buster shot.

Humm, I'll have to try it then.. looked to me like the game froze for a sec as it tried to register, and you just carried on. Actually, I can't say mini-gun either.. more like three burst rifle fire.

No, no, no. This is a GBC game... Meaning it's like a compact SNES. The thing you're trying to tell me is similar if not same to what happens in the original Megaman X game. Once you deliver the final blow it freezes, right? Well, it's just like that. Th only difference here is that the screen scrolls to the side then the mini-boss appears out of nowhere. Until the mini-boss appears or the intro ends, I can't move nor use my buster in any given way. Look, I've been playing this worn out game for 5 years. Take it for me. I can remember all hidden Items, tricks, secrets, & functionalities (Aside for some bosses like Launch Octopus in which case I jut cut off his arms and he uses nothing but Torpedoes...) possible in the game. You won't compare to that experience in 3 days. Maybe with the boss fights, yes you're better, but for the game in its entirety, my friends and I are semi-masters (Masters are those who can buster run all bosses including Sigma and not get damaged). I believe I understand what you're saying. Those fins flapping? They really just start after a second or 2. That's part of the sub's attack. And, like I said, the game stops me from attacking while the boss isn't yet ready. Since I was able to move, it was done loading it... If you're not contented, try it yourself and be my guest. And would you please not go NeoArashi on me. This isn't even part of the challenge and you're all up in my face jsut to prove me the evils of the Rapid-Fire option. I never did anything against you. *Walks away to eat a burger that's been sitting in front of me the last hour.*

Coriousity, nothing more, and your explination does explain the mini-bosses sprite kinda freezing up before just exploding into dust.
I also found out what that one daft commentor had in mind when he said "Dragon Rodeo". He ment jumping up on the red serpents back, and riding him out, shooting at his head, like you can do in the SNES game, as a friend explains it to me.
Isn't the serpent on this game shorter, making it rather impossible to use that same strategy? I found out that it will rise from the same spot if I stood at that one point, and almost always preform the same maneuver.. Though it almost got me twice, yay hit boxes...
What do you think, is that red serpent ridable like that?
