Section 2: The GuidelinesHey, so you want to give me a challenge? If you don't know how to give a (good) challenge, read this first. In this guidelines I will explain how you give me a proper challenge.
Part 1: How to set up a challengeA challenge submit must have a few things in it.
1. First the game obviously. This is pretty important in my case, because I'm the only official challengetaker to not take on Megaman Battle Network challenges.
2. You also have to tell which level I have to take a challenge in. In the Donkey Kong Country games give me the level names and in Mario and Sonic the name of the event. This does not go for Wi-Fi battles. If no level name is given, the challenge will be dropped.
3. Third you have to give a time limit, this is the time in which I have to do a challenge. You can also give me no time limit. Challenges with too little time will be dropped.
4. At last you have to give a few conditions. Conditions are special things I have to do to get a challenge complete. Be original!
Part 2: Some rules involving giving challenges- Check my challenge order before giving me challenges. If the ten slots are already full, any challenge given during that time will be dropped.
5. In the pokémon battles, just give me (over PM if you want) your Friend Code and done we are. These challenges do not need conditions and a time limit except for how much pokémon we both use.
- If your challenge is impossible to do, or too easy, I will drop the challenge. You may give me a modified challenge
in 24 hours. If you are too late, your challenge will be on the last place of the challenge order.
- Also don't give me any challenges if I still have to do one of yours. Even if there are spaces left in the challenge order.
- Be patient, I also have a life, and sometimes it might take a little longer than expected before I do your challenge. Don't stalk me with 'how long' and that sorta stuff.
- For both time limit and conditions: be reasonable.
- I don't use cheats or hacks. So also don't give me a challenge where I have to use it. Several
ingame glitches are allowed. But please inform me before giving a challenge then.
- More levels in 1 challenge are allowed. But keep it reasonable! I don't do a whole world in 1 challenge in example. Boss rushes are the big exception to this.
- Keep in mind: I'm not a speedrunner! I really wouldn't care if I got one, but if I can't do it, I drop it.
Part 3: How do I make the videoAfter I received your challenge, accepted it and cleared it. I upload the video. To avoid questions: I use the inbuilt recorder of snes9x.
I will rate your videos by two things. First I give the difficulty of the challenge. How hard I thought it was. And the enjoying rate. How much I enjoyed doing the challenges. Followed by comments.
I use the nickname from which I received the challenge, unless else mentioned.
Conditions? How and whatConditions are the main part of a challenge, that is the part which doesn't make it a gameplay or speedrun video. Here are a few examples of
common conditions
But the part that's important for the fun factor at the challenges is the originality of the challenges. Be creative!
Examples of wrong challengesThis are 5 examples of challenges which I will never acceptIf you give me a challenge like this, I will give it a single ticket to the lost bin. I hope I don't have to explain why
Wrong! This is impossible. Without those conditions it's already impossible to do a level like animal antics below 2 minutes.
This is not literary impossible. But to get a world record that goes over WiFi is really hard and just impossible for me.
This is not a challenge, but a gameplay video. So this one is also not accepted.
Rocket Rush is a level in which you can't really control the speed with which you go through the level. So a time limit is needless. I just ignore the time limit from this autoscroll levels.
Please read my Guidelines Video if you prefer.
