I know you can fight RV Navis at a certain point, after you defeat Bass I believe. How do you fight RV Link Navis and RV ProtoMan?

Only WWW navis can be fought in RV versions. Link navis can be fought only in SP versions. ProtoMan FZ (not RV) can be fought if you do all requests (In japanese version, you'll need E-Reader for some of the requests) Forte BX(Not RV) is first time in Underground 2 up the slope (Where you fought Colonel first) after you defeat Forte SP. After that, he shows up randomly in Graveyard (2).
RV Link navis cannot be fought unless you use Memory Viewer/Gameshark/Whatever cheating device.

Actually, Forte BX will appear anywhere in the US version since there is only 1 Graveyard.

That's why there is (2), not 2.

Until Protoman FZ arrives you can fight his RV version. I've done it many times.

Protoman doesn't have an RV version. each boss can only have 4 counting the V1. Protoman has: V1 EX SP FZ You can't have his RV version unless you hack it... Maybe the game your grandpa bought was hacked to begin with giving the reason why you can't access the second part of Graveyard. Unless of course, it was just the battle against Bass.

What I meant was the door was not open even though I could open it. I suck on BassBX. Help.

My strategy is quite difficult to pull off and it takes time.
Areagrab* X2 Sanctuary Z LifeAura U
Multi-hit combo spamming. You have an unbeatable barrier for 3 minutes and just use charge-buster shots of Thawk-cross or Tengu-cross.

THEN USE SLASH-CROSS! GEEZ! Is that such a problem?! In fact, It's harder to use my tactic in Gregar than in Falzar.
Your better off fighting him without an Aura and use Bubblewrap.

Which is far worse than LifeAura against his most unavoidable attack, a.k.a. Buster Rake. The easiest idea how to beat Forte BX are Reflects for F-Gust and time-freezing chips to stop his buster rake. Or go straight for 12*240 damage, 2880 in total, which is Colonel Force+DoublePoint+Attack+30. If it's first time to beat him, Forte chip will do. However, it does 2400 damage if fully executed. I may actually try to make a video "How to deal with Forte BX". =P I DID it. HERE CLICK IT!

He won't go cheap cause he can't cause he hasn't beaten BX the first time! Meaning, he doesn't have the 5th Giga chip yet.
Plus, buster rake's fairly easy to dodge when you see the pattern and he can just jam pack his folder with them Recoveries.

Buster Rake being easy to avoid? Oh well, it isn't called cheapest attack ever besides Gater and Darkness because of nothing... -__- And watch guide I made, I didn't use ANY giga chip there...
