Me being the eccentric writer I am, I have created an introduction to the Challenge Taker Tournament, which I will chronicle as time passes. Here is the introduction.
*****************************************
And so it began. 18 Challenge Takers were called to the Pantheon of Chaos mysteriously by the Goddess of Challenge Taking, Kayorei. Kayorei appeared before these patrons as...herself, of course and told them of the alignment of the planets, promising a prize to the Best Challenge Taker EVAR. She had called these people to the Pantheon and gave them strict aliases:
ChaosFS, former attack leader of the Chaos Force, a band of warriors who worked to protect the innocent. A mysterious betrayal within its ranks has since dissolved the group, however, leaving the individual fighters to fend for their own while searching for the true source of the conflict. Upon winning the tournament, he wishes to reform his group to protect the world against those who betrayed them.
Ridley, Pirate of the Space. Ridley actually only is a pseudonym for Fay O'Donnell. Fay is the brother of the well known rival of Fox McCloud, Wolf O'Donnell, leader of Star Wolf. In the same fight as his brother, Fay lost not only his right eye, but also his right arm and even his jaw. Being a cyborg filled him with bitterness and hatred. He took his Wolfen and left the team of his brother, and became a pirate and a merc on his own. He took on every challenge he was given, as long as he was paid well. Kayorei, the goddess of Challenge Taking, saw the potential of Fay and convinced him to become a loyal servant of her. For the tournament, she sent him in the appearance of Ridley, the terrifying Space Pirate and Samus Aran's long rival in purpose of filtering out the bad Challenge Takers.
Foozdude, the Fierce Architect. Fooz was an aspiring artist in his day until They came to his planet to seize his people. Choosing to fight left him scarred from the war, and he had to get his arm replaced with a multi-function prosthetic one, allowing wielding both the pencil and the sword. Foozdude joined the tournament to gain a new arm, and heal the scars of him, and his people.
Omni-Warrior, A warrior for all purposes. As a bounty hunter, Omnus Kleiver had to roam many galaxies to find subjects. He knows the ropes well. However, in an attempt to create a better being, Omnus was infused with Cybeast energy, with which he was not able to control. He joined the tournament to gain power to control the beast inside him.
Me. Count Glenn, that is. My story has been the laughingstock of many a vampire clan or child. When I was challenged to a duel, I lost horribly to a Solar Boy, and I was forced to join him as his slave. Now I am not allowed in my clan anymore, nor am I able to challenge the Solar Boy to get through it. I joined the tournament so I could endow enough dark energy so I could face the Solar Boy.
Kainmaster, The master of Kainism. As a student and child of the philosopher Kain, Ignatius Socrates learned how to fight opponents well, and the first two words he ever said were "Kain, Master." Ever since then he has donned those two words as his alias. Since his teacher is on his deathbed, Ignatius joined the tournament to gain Aged Panacea to give his father everlasting life.
MegamanADV, the better model of Megaman. When Lan's father dumped Hub's mind into a digital body, there was a leftover design scheme, one that involved dabbling the fusion of Navis Megaman and Zero. It is believed that he was thrown away. Many believed that he lived somewhere in the Undernet. Megaman.ADV in fact wanders the net, holding one secret: Unlimited Zero Style; a power even much stronger than Hub Style. It is the key to the Destruction of all Net Society, or the key to Net Progression. However, the power eats away at his core, like a parasite. He has joined the tournament to perfect that power and rid him of the pain that the predominate Zero Virus held on him.
Rekai, Ninja of a Thousand Names. He has been called many things, but Rekai Kisaragi is no fake. As a rogue student at the Rahen Dojo of Advanced Ninja Arts, he left to search another passion: Blood. The techniques he knows are perfected, but he needs one thing to be truly feared. Rekai joined the tournament for immediate GODMODs for his techniques.
NeoArashi, Former Gospel member. He was rumored to be dead after a bomb exploded, but he managed to get out of the bombing site just in time. Then, he met a Roserade who he teamed up with to commit crimes. To become a famous criminal team, NeoArashi and Roserade created a name for their duo, called ''Roserashi''. Team Roserashi went to the City of Los Santos, San Andreas to join the most powerful gang in all San Andreas: Grove Street. But After the two leaders of Grove Street, Carl ''CJ'' Jonhson and his brother, Sean ''Sweet'' Jonhson got killed in a drive-by attempt, the member of Grove Streetsdecided to make team Roserashi the leader of Grove Street. Since They are still new in the city, they still don't have enough influence and are getting rapidly overpowered by the two enemy gangs, the Ballas and the Vagos. Team Roserashi decided to go participate in the tournament to gain enough influence and power to defeat those gangs.
Quirino, Trans-Dimensional Fighter. Quirino is everywhere but nowhere. He is a being that can walk dimensions and probably bring you back a 5-faced monkey if you asked him nice enough. No back-story is found on him, neither is his motive. But there's something fishy about him.
Bardpado, the Violent Master of the Pan Flute. The humble Pado Gonzalez started his career playing in restaurants as a solo bard. He mastered the blade at an early age by mimicking the famous sword fighter Zorro. As Bard Pado, he joined the tournament for publicity for the family business.
Kenzamaka, the Unstable Mastermind. Kenzamaka Shiinjiro was born with a gland defect making him an unstable individual. Many people rejected him, but the thing they missed was he was amazingly intelligent. He would look at a Rubik's Cube and think of 2 billion different ways to solve it. However, he joined the tournament to acquire new knowledge, allowing him to balance his thoughts and his instability.
The Furry, the Demi-Human. Arthur Smith was a normal human being, loafed around frequently, and was a scientist. One of his experiments made him fuse DNA with one of his cats, probably explaining why he doesn't like them that much. He hasn't been able to gather enough knowledge to change himself back, so he joined the tournament to tear the cat DNA from his body.
Mollettman, Rejected Superhero. Mollettman used to be an interesting superhero using his long hair to baffle his criminals. Since another hero took that power on (Japanese, nose-hair, you probably get it from there.), he was rejected. He joined the tournament to change his powers out and fight crime as another superhero.
Forte, Fro Bro. If you thought Bass and Forte were one and the same, you were wrong. Forte, older brother of Bass, has less power than his robotic sibling, but is easily characterized by his large hairstyle. Forte decided to join the tournament to gather enough power to show Bass his place.
Armadox Lazardi Xmachina, a.k.a. Armadox the Butcher. He's a murder whom put to death thousands of refugees whom where fleeing a war torn country. He kills indiscriminantly, having no alliance with anyone, and only lives so that others can die before him. He carries around two cleavers, "Serenade" and "Rhapsody", who are possessed by the angels of the same name (Serenade being the angel of chaos, Rhapsody being the angel of bloodlust.)
Yoshi-Boy, Passionate fan. Golden Silver is what he's referred to these days, but he entered the tournament as Yoshi-Boy, the foremost fan of Yoshis (aside from Bubbles in Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga). His motive that he put down was to meet and keep a real Yoshi.
Vigarde, Lost Composer. Vigarde was the cousin to Mozart, and had amazing musical technique. However, he stumbled into a time warp, leaving him completely lost in the present. As a young boy, he was educated in fencing. Vigarde joined the tournament to return to the present.
“MAY THE GAMES BEGIN!” Kayorei boomed, and the 21 challengers looked up. Two cowered in fear while the rest stepped forward to take this challenge.
***********************************************
And there we go. Go ahead and comment if you feel like it, I'll start writing it out a bit more.
Small Footnote: If you wish for me to change the story, perhaps changing the backstory of yourself, you can comment saying you want it changed. Put down your true backstory, and I will happily oblige to any changes that need to be made.
