Well, seeing as this game is supposed to be the "sequel" to the Battle Network games we all know so well, what do you all think about them? Do they look worth the hype or are they just the same old thing to you? ...Yeah, yeah, it isn't out in NA yet...but I just wanted to put this up anyway....kind of like a preliminary survey .

I have no DS and actually also no perspective in getting it soon, so... I don't know if there's even gonna be a PAL version, anyway, again so... *shrug* ^_^

If it will be similiar to BN series, why not. I'm getting DS soon, as I'll get some cash because of broken knee... We shall see...

I don't have any preference on the whole series, even if it does come here in Canada. However, I do like waffles.

Wow...this poll is full of surprises so far...
1. I didn't expect so many of you not to have an opinion yet.
2. More people have voted than have posted...who's been holding back? >.<
3. I CAN'T BELIEVE SOMEBODY ELSE HERE LIKES WAFFLES!!!! XDXD
...*ahem* Seriously, I'm personally planning on getting Dragon first, seeing as it's the store-exclusive version...I'm not sure what I think of the game yet, but the E3 video looked pretty good to me. I'm also hoping to find someone with Pegasus & Leo versions so that I can get all 3 forms early on (ZOMB ULTERIOR MOTIVE!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!ELEVEN!)...

Wow...I expected a bit more attention to this...especially since we only have 5-6 days until it's released in the US, depending on where you are. Then again, after discovering how I was one of only two people who reserved it at my nearby store, I guess it isn't too surprising... Yeah, I decided officially on getting Dragon right now. I doubt there are many people out there that don't like waffles...

Star Force... Well, I know it's been taking a lot of flak because of its near-total imitation of the Battle Network style, but that's not stopping me from at least trying it out. I actually liked the Battle Network play style, thankyouverymuch. I've always been a sucker for card-based play. That's all the Battle Chip system in Battle Network was, anyway.
Then again... how is that any different from Mega Man classic and Mega Man X... AND Mega Man Zero? They play almost the same way and I've yet to see them get railed on for uncreativity. Ehh... I guess they're just making up excuses to not buy it to go along with the fact that it comes in three versions.
It's been a tough choice on which one I'd want. I was originally going to take up arms with my favorite element's former weakness to help eliminate the ones that overthrew it... (In other words, I was going to pick Dragon since there was no lightning-based version and Aqua's weakness changed to Wood according to some announcement.) But seeing an announcement of Ryuusei 2 and its own lightning version made me change my mind. The dragon looks... overrated, anyway. I think I'm gonna go with Leo on this one and hopefully in the near future as I recently acquired a DS Lite (and Pokémon Diamond, for those curious).
No asking if I'll be taking DS game challenges, kthx.

Will you.. *shot* Haha... just kidding. I think that if I get Starforce, I'll love it. It's just getting over the "do I want it or not..?" hurdle. The same thing happened with me and Megaman ZX. But the whole 3-d battle thing... Ehhh... I dunno. I love Battle Network, but Battle Network 3-d with another hashed-out "OMG you has to saves the planets from destruction!!!!" plot is kinda meh. After saving the world from the WWW and Nebula about three times each, I dunno if I have the endurance to last through more of the similar.

About time! *is shot*Seriously, you brought up a good point, since this is SUPPOSED to be a direct sequel, same universe and everything...I think it also stems from the whole "most MM fans don't like Battle Network" belief I see floating around...and find to be garbage. Okay, continuing... The gameplay in the other series goes back to the traditional platforming blast-into-oblivion gameplay that Mega Man started as, true. However, if so-called "fans" can't adjust to a new form of gameplay, well...that's kind of sad. What makes it even sadder is that the more-popular Legends series contained the same sort of exploration that the BN series is bashed for. Last point: whoever told you that Aqua became weak to Wood was lying or talking with no idea what they were talking about. Ryuusei no Rockman just gave us TWO Elec-type Navis to make up for the lack of Elec version. Besides, would you really want people like Mandi having to buy FOUR versions just to get complete reviews of the game (cookie to anyone who knows who I'm talking about)? Will you.. *shot* Haha... just kidding. I think that if I get Starforce, I'll love it. It's just getting over the "do I want it or not..?" hurdle. The same thing happened with me and Megaman ZX. After saving the world from the WWW and Nebula about three times each, I dunno if I have the endurance to last through more of the similar. Please, that plot is in just about every single RPG game out there. If you think that you'll love it if you'll get it, then what's the confusion?

After saving the world from the WWW and Nebula about three times each, I dunno if I have the endurance to last through more of the similar. But there are a lot of games out there that push the whole "save the world" bit... especially RPGs, which is the genre Battle Network falls into. True, Star Force is going to be added to the ever-growing list, but it certainly won't be the last. At least there's a variation in the whole "you wind up meddling with the main villainous group" bit. This time (if the anime has any story resemblance to the game), the hero character winds up getting shoved into it pretty much against his will rather than the hero character up and deciding "Hey, someone's gotta stop this guy! I think I'll do it!". If anything, it's a little more on the realistic side.

I still laugh when in the Battle Network series, no one asks Lan, "Hey, aren't you the kid who save the world from destriction a few times?" I find that to be a bit sad. ...as I recently acquired a DS Lite ( and Pokémon Diamond, for those curious). No asking if I'll be taking DS game challenges, kthx. (PM) Friend code, please! ^.^
