First of all, Serebii already has movelists from HeartGold/SoulSilver, and Typhlosion still only learns Thunderpunch from Move Tutors. I guess we can skip out on that... Second, Typhlosion still learns Earthquake through TM, if it needs to have it. *looks again* Oh... Must've overlooked that. However, third, Typhlosion actually lost quite a bit of power behind Thunderpunch in the generation shift. It still does good damage, sure, but just try not to expect it to be as powerful as it was in the originals. Thanks for the info. What I'm after is just the versatility. Power only comes second when I choose attacks. It's when an attack is useful that I find joy in using it.

Me? Heartgold and either cyndaquil or totodile...I wasn't aware that typhlosion was so versatile. I always liked aggron because he had a crapload of moves that he could learn, and you could give him a moveset that was almost virtually impossible to beat.

I find Aggron and Rhyperior to be quite odd personally. Both are defensive behemoths who have an insane special based move pool. Both have low speed and special stats, along with great attack. Unfortunately, it makes their extra moves pretty much go to waste.
There's always the alternative, HM slavery. It's just a term, poke'mon enjoy being useful to their trainers outside of battle too. Just ask the footprint maniac!
