To record the sound, you MUST have a compatible sound card, and this program is pretty selective about it. If you play on a unmodified laptop, there's a 99% chance that the sound will not record. WIndows media player is also pretty selective in the choice of files it readsm, a single, small damaged data can screw up WMP. ANd Instead of using Cam Studio I would suggest using the emolators included AVI recording feature. And for your curso question, it's impossible to hide your cursor, just move it as far away from the screen center as possible.

Actually, in CamStudio, it is possible to hide the cursor. Go to Options, then Cursor Options. The rest should fall into place. Under the same Options dropdown, there should be some "record audio" settings, too. "Record audio from speakers" works for me when I record emulator footage, though there could be sound card issues if it's not compatible.
Can't answer your Media Player question, though.
I do agree with NeoArashi, though. If your emulator has a built-in AVI recording function, use that instead. Fewer complications, though you do run the risk of sound lag for GBA. What emulator are you trying to use, anyway?

NO$GBA, to record Black Ace/Red Joker videos of R bosses.
Also, when I went to sound options or something like that, it said I didn't have a speaker connected. Do I even need one?

I don't know. It may be an issue with the sound card more than with speakers themselves. I can't really say.
As for the emulator... sorry, but I don't know a thing about that one or if it can record on its own.
