I dunno if it's commonplace where you are, but I'm terribly sick of seeing people decorating for Christmas THAT early. I mean christ, Christmas is in over 50 days, and you're already putting your decorations? Gimme a break.Worse. Many people, and the number of people who does that are rising like the plague, are decorating for christmas WEEKS BEFORE HALLOWEEN!!!!!! I know there are some laws againts that in some cities of Ontario, but I wanna know what about where you live. Any opinions?

I believe the Charlie Brown Easter Beagle TV Special said it best for Christmas coming earlier and earlier each and every year. Not to mention some of those Christmas in July promos that sometimes happen on TV. There's also an episode from the Garfield & Friends TV shows that backs this part up, as well as some segments in said show that mention this.
For the big stores like Wal-Mart and K-Mart, I believe they start selling their X-Mas stuff right about now, and for some of the smaller stores like Walgreens or Safeway, they either sell Thanksgiving stuff or X-Mas stuff early along with the bigger known sellers.
Personally, my family doesn't go through that much flair with X-Mas decorations anymore. Maybe some of our relatives do, but we just basically have a lone X-Mas tree nowadays. Also, to make a point, we post it up sometime in December before X-Mas, the time it should be put up, and take it down sometime after New Years' in early January usually, the time it should be put down. In my opinion, people who don't take their X-Mas decorations down soon, or down at all, after X-Mas are either lazy, forgetful, too into the holiday spirit, or any combination of the three. Same goes for people who put them up too soon.

In the metro-centre (Big shop place) the decorations are up, people in my school are already giving out christmas cards + presents! Also the whole of my town (C hester-lestreet) is decorated too -.-. Annoying yes.

My girlfriend saud that WMYX was playing Christmas songs on like... October 28th.
Honestly, there's always something in the holiday department:
Christmas -> Valaneinte's Day -> Easter -> 4th of July (in America) -> Back to School -> Halloween -> Christmas

Winter related holidays? Wouldn't this go in the thread you created?I mean, you made that thread for a reason, yes? And well, you already know my thoughts about discussing solely Christmas, but once more I shall not speak of it.

...You know, Foozdude has a good point. Aside from that, I also have to point out the title that you yourself used: "WAY TOO EARLY FOLKS!"
Your original post sounds more like something that belongs in the vent thread, anyway.
Locky.
