OK, I've had enough of Windows shutting down and the creators of the computer not knowing what's wrong. It's likely that as I type this out my PC will shut down and I have to restart the whole message again. So I'll keep messages as short as possible.
My computer gets the ever hated Blue screen of death, if anyone has any idea of how to stop the occurances then please state it here. The message given is "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" I would prefer a solution that doesn't involve buying a new computer.
The messages started after a trojan horse named "Bloodhound.SONAR" infected the computer. The background was changed to a blue screen named "ctfmonb" and the screen saver was changed to a lot of black beetles walking across the screen namely "Blackster".
Also, Norton continuously states there is a problem that requires fixing manually. Stating that there is a tracking cookie that by clicking the scan button becomes fixed.
If anyone can help solve or explain the problem, please post a reply.

First, uninstall Norton. Then, download SpySweeper, AntiVir or AVG Virusscan, and let them go through all. Delete all hazardous programs, virii, trojans, and Norton. If that doesn't work, format your harddrive and reinstall Windows, but not Norton. If that doesn't work, get a new harddrive, but don't install Norton.
Also, do not use Norton. Norton sucks. Norton is the WORST Anti-Virus-Program. It crashes systems on its own.

One problem with your solution... AVG is a fake virus scanner. It is a virus. We were trying to figure out what was wrong with our computer, and it turned out that AVG was the problem. Our computer was so much slower than it is now.
I think.

I still don't see why noone mentions Avast as Antivirus.

Ok sorry for acting angry here but, WE ARE NOT UNINSTALLING NORTON, as if we do we have absolutely no way to get the antivirus without massive virus risk! Ok so if we uninstall that we can't get rid of it anyway. Oh yeah and i've been through the computers whole core program twice now! Took me 1 hour each time, and I found nothing wrong with it! Again sorry for the anger but ugh, Hot is overeacting about this anyway it only happens like once a day! One last thing, if you reccomend Hot to uninstall Nortan he will do it, and then I will take the blame 0.0

I hereby recommend you to get another antivirus program, no matter what Molletman says.

One problem with your solution... AVG is a fake virus scanner. It is a virus. We were trying to figure out what was wrong with our computer, and it turned out that AVG was the problem. Our computer was so much slower than it is now. I think. Virus scanners always slow down systems. I had 4 different virus scanners: AVG, AntiVir, McAfee, Norton. What I experienced: - Norton: Tends to ruin systems. Slows down extremely. Costs a lot. - AntiVir: Slows down the processing, but not as much as Norton. Free. - AVG: Slows down, too, but not as much as AntiVir or even Norton. Free. - McAfee: Quick, but not so useful. Expensive. Now I could argue that virus scanners all in all will NOT protect you from threats. Virii have to be found before there can be a solution against them, which will take around 2 weeks. The best protection are a firewall in your router (no personal ones, unless you know what you're doing) and using secure programs. But honestly, there is nearly no protection from virii except staying offline. If your PC is already infected, you don't have to worry much about more virii - since it's already infected. And, as you obviously can see, Norton did not protect you from that virus. So why keep it? But as far as I know Norton is, like a few virii are, only removable by formatting your harddrive. Which is what I highly recommend. Good luck, anyway. Oh, and, I made a technical education with focus on IT, so I guess I know what I'm talking about.

Shinji I think you may have solved the problem. The computer is about 1 year and a half old so we most likely have an obsolete driver. Oh and Fay your like what 21? I'm only 14 I only know the basics of that stuff even if i'm very skilled when using a computer, it's just if we install a new anti-virus we, or more like I, will get lashed of my dad 0.0 I don't want that to happen. Oh yeah and I have customized and used my own firewall in the router, it works a treat but nothing can stop everything. Oh one last thing, no matter what you do to get rid of a virus the shadow of that virus will always stay in the computer and cannot be stopped, however the only way it can come back is if the person who sent you the virus hacks into your computer again and reactivates it.
