The most frequent killers are Porky, Duo, and Galleom. Tabuu will be annoying when I reach him.

Duon I'd suggest long range/close range against his current form, or attempt a full ranged run (An aerial attack may help VS the combat mode). Porky, just try to dodge more than attack I'm not sure how you dodge him. Galleum, just learn how to dodge him and when to attack. If all else fails see serebii: www.serebii.net/ssbb/boss.shtml

No. Sonic fails at everything.
And you can't just change characters at will during Boss Battles, this is not SSE.
What worked for me was Falcon's Knee of Justice.
Before you flame me for being a Falcon fanboy, let me explain.
Falcon's knee (Forward air) inflicts serious damage when it fully connects, and due to the large size of most bosses, the Knee of Justice always connects fully. I've beaten Boss Battles in Very Hard with Falcon using no hearts. There's in YT a video of someone doing a no-damage run on Boss Battles Intense with Falcon, too.
Or you could go cheap and use Charizard.

Ike will own them with his up b move, multiple hits for the win. Fox and Falco's up b moves work too. And I beat boss battles on Very hard as well with no hearts, except I did it with Ike.

A few tips on tackling the bosses of SSBB by Pyro.
- Use the SE to practice on bosses. Learn their moves, way to avoid etc.
- Pick a character you are good with. Though try not to go for the sluggish ones unless you really know what you are doing. I tend to find Fox to be quite good to take on the bosses.
- Some tips on a few bosses: Meta Ridley: If he uses the rocket barrage and you can use a reflective move, do so, not only do you avoid damage, but he gets some nice damage!
Duon: If they/he/it fires missiles, try to lure them to Duon as they can damage! The purple blasts can be reflected as well.
Tabuu: His red rings of doom can be avoided, but you need some good reflexes on them. Simply do three quick dodge (shield+down) and you can avoid them. Keep practicing on that and you'll avoid them in no time.
I'm sure I got a few more handy tips, but I'll get back on that later.

Ike's UpB does not work because it's a Final Cutter-esque move, and, while killing several ground-based bosses, it will fail miserably on Meta Ridley, simply because he spends a lot of time FLYING outside of safe landing range. Meaning, you use Aether, you plummet to your own demise.
Charizard is cheap because Rock Smash deals eXtreme damage to bosses. And if you're in a pinch, you can use cheap pokémon change to simply "not be there" while Tabuu sics his Red Rings of Death on you.
But anyways, my only real advice is: DON'T USE SONIC HE FAILS AT EVERYTHING.

Not to mention that, although I do love Ike, his slow movement and bad timing make him not good against enemies like Tabuu, who tends to teleport around a lot.
I suggest you using characters having a shield, like Pit, Lucas, Wolf or Fox, since most enemies have projectiles you can reflect (or absorb). Best bet is Fox, who is fast, has some good attacks, and the best reflective shield. Wolf isn't bad either if you like it a bit slower.

You still having problems? I've found a great help if Charizard is too sluggish / hard to control for you.
Wario. Yes, I'm honest. His aerial + Up attack (that clap) does just as incredible damage as Rock Smash. It racks up not as much damage, but due to Wario's good agility, you'll be able to do two claps in one double jump, meaning two hits. Also, due to the fact Wario's air agility and generally his dodging abilities are insanely good, Wario is a real boss killer. If you learn how to dodge Tabuu's shockwaves of death (and that's fairly easy), you'll have Intense in no time.
Edit: Another great choice is Princess Zelda. Her aerial + forward or right (that magical kick) is pretty doomish for all bosses. It does insane damage when it fully connects (just like Captain Falcon's Knee aerial), and due to the size of all bosses it is ensured it WILL connect. This makes Zelda another one of these Boss Killers.

I always use Ike and metaknight for these battles. Reason? I like them >_> but ike's "ether" attack does seriously bad damage to any bosses. But otherwise for duon and galleom. I reccomend you use ranged attacks and try hard to dodge its attacks.
