A'ight! I'm bored!
Lemme see what's on T.V.! Ohhh! Looky! Cartoons!
"Cartoons!? You won't get anywhere drawing these stupid cartoons, Mr. Tabooty!"
lol! Anti!
Well, just talk about anything related to cartoons. Just express yourself, chat about episodes, character bios, history, lost episodes, etc.
PS: Anime are accepted here.

I really don't have a favorite cartoon. All that I watch is... LIVE ACTION!! (Dun-uh...) But Ed, Edd, and Eddy's pretty good. Other than that, Family Guy takes the cake.

Wait, this isn't a survey. It's a discussion thread.
Yeah, I guess the monotony of those survey threads got the better of all of us.
For example, now we all say something about SpongeBob Squarepants. (lol! The one toon to rule them all!)
Ohh... The things you discuss also don't need to be something from the T.V. You can also talk about flash cartoons. All are accepted except for Happy Tree Friends on the count of all the blood involved.

Wow... Spongebob... Now THIS is one LAME show... There are only two episode I like. The one with that scotish ghost ship, and the Spacial Spongebob 3D episode only available at very few Amusement parks (I watched it at ''La Ronde'', Montreal) Other than that... Well I'm not a TV watcher, really. When I'm in front of a screen, 95% of the time I will spend it playing video games but I do like The Boondocks, The Simpson, South Park, Family Guy AND the Road Runner

Cartoons are losing their flair, in my opinion. Sure, I admit there are some decent ones like Fairly Oddparents, but I prefer those old cartoons and shows like the Looney Tunes, and the classic Nicktoons on Nick. Some of these new cartoons don't make the cut in my opinion, like Wayside and Tak and the Power of Juju, both are just stupid in my opinion. Making cartoons off of books and video games is never a good idea, unless you do a good job of explaining the general plot of said book/game.

Current cartoons have really gone down the drain since I was younger. I remember the "golden age" back when cartoons like Animaniacs or Freakazoid were around, but now...we've got a couple YGO rip-offs, yet another Scooby-Doo sequel, some superhero cartoons for the "new generation", and a cartoon starring, of all things, pinatas ( ). Oh, and anime... For example, now we all say something about SpongeBob Squarepants. (lol! The one toon to rule them all!) AAHHHH!!!!! *stabs with fork* EVIL!! EVIL!!!!!!! That show is HORRIBLE.

Hmmm... Well, mostly, maybe because cartoons were more fun when you were kids, that's why most of them suck now.
I remember watching Captain Planet before and compared it to now, I wish it never existed. I mean the show, not the message they taught.
SpongeBob's comedy is really hard to get, even I don't get it sometimes. Still, the classics are simply the best. Especially when we talk about Nickelodeon's. Disney's not bad, but they've been showing characters cross-dressing and I don't think it'll set a good example.

What do you have against crossdressing?

Nothing.
I just see it as inappropriate for some, considering that children might think it's proper if not guided properly. Better explain it to my mom. I think she said that it was illegal in some places to show cross-dressing people.
Off topic: Please answer my question. I just wanna change for the better.

I have nothing against Spongebob. He's alright with me. In all honesty, some of the newer cartoons look like crap, but I liked Boondocks, Megas XLR, Family Guy, The Batman, Static Shock, Justice League and JL Unlimited, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Invader Zim...
All are relatively recent shows, so I'm not giving up hope just yet. Still, they bring in too much dumbed down Anime and Anime-knockoff shows. I'll admit that Teen Titans was a good show, but there are times it was just embarrassing to watch.

Hmmm... Well, mostly, maybe because cartoons were more fun when you were kids, that's why most of them suck now. I wish it were that simple, but...back then, we actually had cartoons that were pretty much original in concept and practice (the two I previously mentioned being good examples). However, seriously, look at some of what's out on Kids' WB right now: -Shaggy & Scooby Doo Get a Clue -Tom & Jerry Tales -The Batman -Legion of Superheroes -Johnny Test -Krypto the Superdog ...Really now, look at that list. At least half of those episodes are remakes of previous shows, Legion of Superheroes is more of a spin-off of Justice League/Teen Titans than anything, the pun in "Johnny Test" is just too painful to look at, and the problems with Krypto being a copy are REALLY clear... Let's face it: the quality of cartoons has REALLY gone down the drain these past years. Yes, we've gotten a couple "fan favorites" in the more adult cartoons, but...I mean, Cartoon Network had to release a cartoon starring a chipmunk. A CHIPMUNK.

You know what the worst part is: they're trying to make old cartoons popular again by showing them in the movies as actual 3-dimensional characters. Take Underdog for example, bad idea for him to be an actual real dog, especially when Disney created the movie where the heroic dog thing has been overused with the Air Bud movie series. It gets even worse knowing that they're making Alvin and the Chipmunks computer-generated. Really. Bad. Idea. The only cartoon 3-d movie I have respect for is Space Jam. Plot didn't make too much sense, but it was good.

I agree with you, D. 3-D movies of old cartoons pretty much stink. Except Space Jam. Good movie.
But, trying to put something new up, what does anyone think of Megaman Star Force? I say it's pretty good, but I've only seen 1 episode.
