Just out of curiosity (and to round out these "favorites" polls a little more)... Which method of changing MegaMan's abilities did you favor?
I haven't tried them, but Crosses look the most appealing. They combine what little I liked about Styles (permanency (for the most part)) with what I loved about Souls (flexiblity).
Souls... well, I'm not a fan of the timer or the chip sacrifice, but I like the flexibility they offer and the abilities that the Customizer just can't give you... like RollSoul's auto-healing with each chip or ColonelSoul's Arm Change.
Believe it or not, I did not like Styles at all. They forced you to play in a certain way to get the Style you wanted. I'm a moderately avid MegaBuster user. I like Shield Style, but I'm not fond of Guts Style. If I want to get said Shield Style, I would have to forego my favored method of play for two hundred battles (one hundred in BN3)... and heaven forbid if I wind up slipping up somewhere and getting a completely different Style. I literally had this happen in BN2... I didn't want to end up with Guts Style at the very beginning. I actually wanted Custom Style... but it turns out a lot of the time I was using defensive chips so I got Shield Style. See my point?
Nothing to say about Armor and I haven't seen enough of Beast Out to judge it well enough.
Well, anyway, enough on my rants. Let's see what you have to say.

Guts Style was normally my first style, and I'm an avid buster user, but I get what you're saying. I hated altering my gameplay just to get a style, or try to get a style and end up getting another one. Also, Shadow Style sucked. A one Second Invis isn't worth it.
I like crosses best. They last the battle, you don't need to sacrifice a chip, and you don't have to alter a folder just to get one you liked. (Colonel soul was alright, but the only obsticle chip I use is Guardian. This is also why I go DarkColonel a lot more often.) Being hit with what your Cross is weak against does take out the cross, but I understand it being in there. Besides, how many Navis and Virii in BN6 have wind elements to take out KillerCross?
Beastout is fun too. With BN6's system, you have 11 crosses, technically. As a song went in Transformers: the movie, "YOU GOT THE TOUCH!!! YOU GOT THE POWER!!!!"

My vote goes to Crosses.
I haven't played MMBN 1, so I don't know about the armors. The styles are a bit random to receive, so you either get a style you wanted or one you don't want at all. Souls are fun with the limit, but sacrificing chips for them isn't that great. They look nice though. Crosses allow you to change without the need of a chip sacrificial. You don't change back after a few turns, making them better then the souls. The only flaw: getting hit remove them. But hey, defense chips and dodging can prevent that. Beast out is strong, but shares a thing with the souls: turn limit. After the three turns you can still Over Beast (?), a bit like dark invis actually. After that, it's 1/1/1 for your buster and a nasty HP bug. Elec cross FTW!

Crosses. Hands down.
If you think about it, for souls, if you get hit with an element you're weak against, especialy if it's multi-hit, you'd be hurt BADLY. But for crosses, you get kicked out of it, so the 2x damage only affects the first hit. That's actually hink of useful.
But I LOVE the no turn limit and no sacrifice of chips. Why did it take Capcom so long to figure it out? Or why could it be like the anime where you get a "Guts Soul" Chip? That's be cool. But then again, there's the 1/30 thing. Oh well.

I don't think we even need to talk about Armours... Everything is halved but the element it's weak to, which is doubled. Something about that doesn't seem too interesting.
BEAST-OUT!! Best use of 3-turn limit. You're a freaking killing machine. Hey, I'm here! Nope, I'm infront of you, NOW DIE! What are you aiming at? I'm not there anymore!
So dang fast and powerful. If something needs a limit in turns, it needs to be overly-powerful.
Crosses are sexy. Though the art could have been more detailed, it has awesome play. And, again, I can't decide between the two. Well, I least I know I like EXE6.

Beast Out/Over FTW! I haven't played BN1, that's out, Styles are too random for me, and Souls aren't UBER powerful so the 1 chip thing is useless. REALLY useless. Crosses are good, but eh, don't please me because you gotta take a test to get them and I don't like test.

If you haven't played BN6, I should tell you that the "tests" aren't of the "multiple choice/True or False" category. The Quiz people already got a handle on that. The tests are no more than "jobs". Most of them are simple, but Tenguman's was a bit annoying. After the test, you fight the navi of the person that gave you the job. Here are a few examples: Heatman: Take out some kettles using HEATPOWUH!!! Killerman: Take out some evil Navis using KILLINGPOWUH don't tell anyone Lan. Tomahawk: Take out totem poles with TOMAHAWKPOWUH!!! Dustman: Take out the trash using RECYCLINGJUNKPOWUH!!! Slashman: Take out? We make our own food using SLASHPOWUH!!! Spoutman: Do errands as she works somewhere else, grab some fish, and have thoughts of taking out that girl that made you do her work. Maybe drown her with WATERPOWUH!!! I did. You get the idea...

To be honest, the "You get the idea..." isn't part of Spoutman's test description. Still, there's giving me a test and dropping you Navi on my lap because you have to go somewhere else.

Junkman: Take out the trash using RECYCLINGJUNKPOWUH!!! That's DUSTMAN. Let's not get the Junk fans excited (...if they exist ). ...I'd have to...NOT vote Armor, that's for sure......and Styles were useful (11th Chip Glitch BassGS for the win!), but souls were fun...and so is BeastOut...but not crosses, really. I never use them... So...I vote......Styles, souls, and BeastOut........wait, can I do that ?
