**Bracket 1 Semifinal Challenge**
((Quirino vs. Legoman))
Game: MMBN6
Defeat CircusMan SP
Folder Restriction: Use only null-element chips with power lower than 100. No more than five multi-hit and/or support chips may be used. (This means you can use any combination of the two that equals five (like three multi-hits and two supports or five multi-hits and no supports), not five of both.)
---
This round's going to be shorter than usual, the end of the round falling on the 20th (next Sunday). Good luck to the both of you. Glad you decided to stick around, Quirino.

I don't mean "next Sunday" as in the day after tomorrow... There wouldn't be enough time to gather votes if the mini-round lasted only two days.
But you are right about it being the 20th... I keep forgetting the calendar on my computer starts with Sunday, not Monday, ridiculous as that may be.

Since I'm still a MMBN noob... What is support chip >_> I know, wrong question... I know.... I know Chips that help out by doing things other than damage, such as Recovers, Guard/Reflectors, AreaGrab, etc.

It's kinda hard to explain. I guess you could say that support chips are chips whose primary purpose is to perform a non-damaging effect, such as healing, changing panels, or paralyzing. Generally, if it doesn't do damage, it's a support chip. FullCustom, Invisible, AreaGrab (an exception to the "no damage" bit), ComingRoad, WhiteCapsule... Those are all examples of support chips.
EDIT: Kyah, outposted. Yeah, Syaro said it better with a lot fewer words.

And Syaro... Do you mean with 'reflector' the attacking reflector chips?
(They can be useful against Circusman.) They actually DO damage, but they also protect...

Hmmmm.... OK

Wait.. Reflectors are support chips? I've always used them as attack chips, as they have attack points, and their prime purpose is to score counters... They're not exactly throw-aways like the Invis chips...
Also, spreaders don't count as multi-hit chips, correct?

They're not exactly throw-aways like the Invis chips... Their prime purpose is to block attacks. Like AntiDmg and sometimes Ris--*shot*, the counterattack is extra.

It's all a matter of perspective as far as Reflectors go. I personally mark them under attack chips, but Syaro does have a point about their use as support chips.
As for Spreader being multi-hit... No, it's not. It may hit multiple targets, but each target hit is only hit once and it can't be manipulated to hit more than once.

If you're in doubt about the use of any chip, just don't use it. Guard and trap chips are border cases, which can be interpreted in any way.

To be honest, I kinda have to use Reflectors due to lack of chips that actually fit the requirement, but... *shrugs and goes back over folder*
