Well... catastrophic monetary failures on my end (not to mention the total failure of my planned host) have really done a number on my plans to launch the new website. I wasn't as done as I thought I was and suddenly real life issues demanded the money I had set aside for trying to get the site off the ground. By the time it was over, I was left with just short of enough to get hosting for three months. Not going anywhere with that. I have, however, been sitting on the associated forum for quite some time now (Over a year, actually.) ... so I've been thinking about going ahead and moving without the site to go with it. Here's the link to the place (registration is turned off right now) so you guys can have a look around. If you're all okay with moving over there, let me know and I'll start making the necessary preparations. If you're against the move, that's fine. If there are enough naysayers, then we'll be staying here. I'm just letting you all know before I drop something as big as a forum shift on you. z13.invisionfree.com/Challenge_Mode/Some notes: - You'll notice it's not strictly about Challenge Takers. It's because the site was going to be focusing on self-imposed challenges with Challenge Taking as a side attraction (probably even a subdomain).
- On the new forum, there will be no personal CT boards and no OCTs. I completely disagree with what that has come to stand for, so I've done away with it here. There was a big argument before when the topic of the new forum was first brought up, and this is the decision I came to and am sticking with. No exceptions.
The site is still on the to-do list, by the way... but until I get the funding, it's going to be on hiatus.

I like it a lot. As well as keeping the some of the stuff from this forum, you added new parts that I can imagine me posting in quite frequently. I approve this new forum!

The new forum... At first glance, it seems to be a good one. If you ask me, design is a little bit too modern, but it's fine. New boards are perfect!
There's not much that I can say at the current point, but looking only at what we can already see, moving to it is a good idea.

I like it, however, it's a bit too... neon. It kind of hurts my eyes. Sorry.

Well, as the above three mentioned, the current skin is a bit...off, and what I presume to be the new forum motto will of course take some getting used to...but it looks fine otherwise. It has my approval, at least.
...I do presume that we will still have the chance to move threads from this forum, correct?

The forum is good and all, but the colour really hurts my eyes, it would need to be toned down a little. I still approve the forum however.

I pretty much agree with Syaro here. "The Matrix" of the skin design is killing me, as well as the motto (I preffered people thinking we were mad). Although, to be honest the blue skin here is just as bad, *shudder* It's just my blue bastardization though.
Still, we need to refresh the boards and kick cleanse us of several... Misfortunes... So overall, I approve of the new boards. 110% if I don't have to see the neon green "matrix".

Heh... so far, it looks to be unanimous: let's move, but lose the color scheme.
((EDIT: Acktch, forgot the important stuff. I don't intend to delete this forum outright. Lock it down, maybe, but not delete. Between the challenges and the RPs, there's just too much that would be lost if this place was deleted. There's going to be a transition period of about two weeks to a month after the new forum is opened up before this place is locked down, just in case. If you want to start backing up posts, I'm not going to stop you.))
Well, design-wise, everything you see there was based on the design for the site this was to be associated with. Even the "motto" was. I take it you guys prefer being regarded as less than sane?
On a side note, I was kind of afraid of that opinion on the color scheme... Then again, I do a lot of my work in either very saturated colors or grays; nothing really in between. Not sure why, but my designing can't seem to register anything but.
Unfortunately, InvisionFree doesn't support multiple skins... but ZetaBoards does, and I've opted into the conversion from IF to ZB. I confess, I've grown attached to the whole "Matrix" bit. So... since my design tastes are apparently flawed color-wise, I need you guys to point me in a direction for alternatives. Light, dark, bold, pastels, ROYAL RAINBOW... what's your pleasure? Plenty of time to decide and plenty of time for me to put it together, since there's not really much telling when the next batch of IF-to-ZB conversions is going to take place.

I actually don't think the color is terrible, but I wouldn't be throwing a fit if it got changed or anything. I could see how it could bother some eyes.
Same with the matrix theme, I like it, but if you're gonna change it you may as well change it early on so people don't have to deal with it later on. I'd definatly head over there, if only for the addition of a general gaming discussion board.

Even the "motto" was. I take it you guys prefer being regarded as less than sane? Ah. Well, personally, the motto was more already being accustomed to the current one...though, I admit that seems rather superficial considering that the entire forum is being changed. ...Still, "exceed your limits" strikes me more as a phrase for a more competitive website, of which I had the impression that you wanted to avoid. Then again, I could just as easily have misinterpreted it. On a side note, I was kind of afraid of that opinion on the color scheme... Then again, I do a lot of my work in either very saturated colors or grays; nothing really in between. Not sure why, but my designing can't seem to register anything but. Plenty of time to decide and plenty of time for me to put it together, since there's not really much telling when the next batch of IF-to-ZB conversions is going to take place. If you work best in those, then a dull white or dark gray would be a good place to start. Not much that I can suggest other than that. ...And, of course, the semi-obligatory request for a skin mimicking this one.

Or... isn't possible to have multiple skins? I know some forum allows that. It'd be nice, that way, the people who like that ''matrix'' skin could keep it while the other people could use another skin you could create.
Also I forgot to say this but:
I approve your new forum!

That's pretty much what you wanted to know, Arashi.
What colours would be good in my opinion? Nothing very bright, that's for sure. I really like any kind of dark blue, like on this board, but purple or gray would be nice as well.
