As stated in the "Countdown to launch" thread in General, I'm looking for content for the new site. I'd put my stuff in and open it that way, but a monopoly of content doesn't look good, you know?
What I need is completed full-game challenges (like the 6-mon challenge from back in April), guides (video or text will do), and game reviews (also video or text).
Standalone stage challenges (like Touhou's Extra stages) are fine. Guides can be specialized or full walkthroughs.

I'M making a Solo character challenge in FF8, would that work? Otherwise, I think I may do some challenge in the near future.
Also, non-walkthrough videos, I mean, video took from video games that are not playtrhough, but made to look like tv episodes (lik my Rashi's Adventures series) could work. I could make a weekly episode for the website. (I have 14 episodes done so far, will make the 15th either today of tommorow)
I think I could make some other game challenges. A 100% runtrhough of a game, or maybe a one-shot playtrhough of another game? What about a non-TASed speedrun? Anything could work, just give me your opinion!

Gameplay "episodes", while they sound interesting enough, aren't really what I'm looking for. Your FF8 SCC would work, but I can't accept it until it's finished.
Maybe I should have put the guidelines in the first post... ^_^*
---
These are the guidelines that will be given to everyone who submits something to the site:
(Challenges) Provide the following details:
Credit Name: Contact E-mail (optional; if none stated, your E-mail will not be listed): Game (if multiple versions exist, please specify which one): Console: Conditions: Link to Video(s) (no file downloads, please):
Challenges must have a clearly-defined non-scoring condition such as "no deaths". Speedruns and 100% Completion runs do not qualify, though adding additional conditions is still okay. (i.e. minimal A Button speedrun, single character 100% completion) No tool-assisted runs, please.
---
(Guides) Provide the following details:
Credit Name: Contact E-mail (optional; if none stated, your E-mail will not be listed): Game (if multiple versions exist, please specify which one): Guide (plain text or video link(s), no file downloads, please):
Guides may be specialized (i.e. how to use certain items) or a full-game walkthrough.
There will be quality control on this matter. For best results, make your guide clear and easy to understand.
---
(Reviews) Provide the following details:
Credit Name: Contact E-mail (optional; if none stated, your E-mail will not be listed): Game (if multiple versions exist, please specify which one): Review (plain text or video link(s), no file downloads, please):
Quality control will be enforced. Detailed, objective reviews work best and have the highest chance to be accepted.
Reviews must include the release date of the game. The more recent the game reviewed, the better, but try to keep the game older than two weeks.

I'm assuming my Sonic 3&K Knuckles Walkthrough and Pokemon Silver Playthrough are the kinda thing you're looking for for the guides?

I'll have to have a look at the Pokémon one, but the Sonic one is definitely acceptable.

Hmmm...
Well as most people probably know I do playthroughs and have completed Megaman X.
I'm currently doing I wanna be the guy and starwing. Those count?
I'm not sure whether this counts but I was asked to do a guide on beating nebula grey, maybe that counts?

Hmmm... *brushes goat-tee a la Chinese beard* I DO have 7 walkthrough videos on my YouTube page... If you need it, I'll be more than happy to dig up my back-up files. Credit Name: "Bardpado's Walkthroughs (1-7)" Contact E-mail: bardpado@hotmail.com Game: Megaman X, Megaman Xtreme 2 & MMBN6:Falzar Guide: www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=D1D6A7A9156F1B28[EDIT] I also plan to put up a video about the NES game M.U.S.C.L.E. in the future. Not technically a review, but more of a gameplay video, if it's alright. I also have my 6 Pokemon Challenge to finish up, though it might take a while since I'm only about to fight Blaine.

Hm, you know? I wanted to do a Battle Network walkthrough way back when VBA was my only option for recording GBA videos. I'd be happy to do one now or whenever.

Here are a few things I might want to do for the website. please tell me if any of those are acceptable. - 100% Yoshi's island run
- DKC1/2/3 One-shot playtrhough
- MMBN (any game/Version) Initial folder run
- Digimon WOrld 100% Recuitement guide
- Zelda Ocarina of time Boss Run (will include side-bosses)
- Zelda ALttP Boss Run
- Animal Crossing Play sessions (since it's not runtrhough-able)(will includes AC's special events)
- FFXI Play sessions (Same as AC)
- Super Mario 64 120 stars walkthrough
If any of these are acceptable, I will concider making one of those.

I'm not sure whether this counts but I was asked to do a guide on beating nebula grey, maybe that counts? I've been considering having playthroughs of I Wanna Be the Guy and certain "challenge hacks" (i.e. Kaizo Mario) be a bit of an exception to the "must have conditions" element to the submission of challenges, considering that the games in question are made to be mind-numbingly the-f'ing-game's-out-to-get-you difficult. I guess IWBTG is acceptable. Starwing, on the other hand, is a no go on that call. Guide on Nebby's fine. I'll probably make character guides for Super Smash Bros. Brawl when I have the proper equipment... I guess that's what you mean, 's well? Yup, that kind of stuff is what I'm looking for. Hm, you know? I wanted to do a Battle Network walkthrough way back when VBA was my only option for recording GBA videos. I'd be happy to do one now or whenever. Sounds good to me. If any of these are acceptable, I will concider making one of those. Basic playthroughs are a bit questionable, but then again, I see quite the difference between a playthrough and a walkthrough/guide. What do you mean by the "one-shot playthrough" of the DKC series? MMBN initial folder run can work as a challenge. When you say "boss run" in those Zelda games, you mean just recording you fighting the bosses? That'd be a hard call. Playthrough or guide in that respect? Digimon World and Super Mario 64 100% walkthroughs would work for guides. EDIT: Gah, forgot about you, Bardpado! Sorry! Hmmm... *brushes goat-tee a la Chinese beard* I DO have 7 walkthrough videos on my YouTube page... If you need it, I'll be more than happy to dig up my back-up files. Had a look at the videos. Would you mind terribly if I broke the set up? The "MMX differences" one was a bit misleading. All I saw was gameplay of the SNES version of MMX, and I don't think I can accept that one. All the rest are perfectly fine, though.

What do you mean by the "one-shot playthrough" of the DKC series? Meaning, he plays through the whole game (secret levels not counted) without ever saving or using tool-assistance.

When you say "boss run" in those Zelda games, you mean just recording you fighting the bosses? That'd be a hard call. Playthrough or guide in that respect? Digimon World and Super Mario 64 100% walkthroughs would work for guides. Oneshot playtrhough is a small challenge where you must complete the game (excluding any secret levels) without saving at all, thus having to finish the game in one shot. I did that for DKC2 (I posted the whole series (10 parts) in the random runtrhough/walkthrough/LP thread) Also, another question: Can I make a video review for a video game, instead of makng it text-based? EDIT: ''guides'' for special rules for Brawl, such as my and Gegueure's ''Omega Sudden Death'' would those work as well? EDIT2: I'll give it a try, I guess... (Challenge) Credit Name: Chanook ''NeoArashi'' Lefebvre E_mail: baka_pink@hotmail.com Game: Donkey Kong COutry 2: Diddy's Kong Quest Console: SNES (but can be done on the GBA as well) Conditions: Must not save, if you die, must not use save state/ Rewind features of emulators. Must not use any tool assistance whatsoever. Secret levels needs not to be completed (and cannot be completed without cheating anyways, unless you beat the main game beforehand) And if you want, finish the game as quickly as possible. Oh, "no saving". Gotcha. Guess that'll work.
Video reviews are fine. Says so in the guidelines for both guides and reviews: "plain text or video link(s)".
House rules guide? Ehh... I'll have to have a look first. Seems interesting enough and would give ideas on other means of challenges in Brawl.
