Or at least I will inthe near future. Winter is slowly coming, a few of you might even have had some snow near their homes. I've always been a bit of the opposite of people of my area. People loves the sun where I love Thunderstorms, people like high outdoor temperature while I prefer them cool, or even cold. People (especially the people with a car) get pissed of where there is snow while I find myself at peace. I made this thread for people who have winter. People like Kayorei and Rekai who do not have winter due to living too much in the south, you may tell us if you would like to have winter where you live. This is basicly a thread to talk about winter LIke I said, I find myself at peace where there'S that white stuff everywhere around me. And since I like Storms and low temperature. Winter is the perfect season for me. If only thundersnowstorms could occur more often (last time I SAW a thundersnowstrom, I was 8 (I'm 20 right now), and the last thundersnowstorm recorded on a camera in my province as march 8th of this year) And of course, Winter bring two of the most awesome holidays: Christmas and the New Year day! Although I dislike the whole 'let's get drunk'' of the people of my province's habbits being reunited with the familly is more than awesome! Any opinions?

Figures the bloody canadian wouldn't know anything about the south XD.
Kidding around man, but seriously, it is getting pretty chilly down here in the mornings. But I guess thats because we're in the middle of actual fall XD

I know it DOES get quite a lot colder even in the south, but most probably not as cold as our -20 celcius we have here

I live in Seattle. Winter is pretty much random for me. One winter it might snow before the season even starts, the next winter might have no snow period. The only thing you can count on Winter here for in Seattle is that's it's gonna be cold. I don't think I've ever seen a White Christmas here in Seattle and it's doubtful I'm gonna see one ever if I keep living here. Also, because Seattle is in Washington, the Evergreen State, expect more rain, clouds, and sun than snow during this time unless you live near the mountains. In the offchance that there is snow, chaos ensues. Seriously. Traffic is somewhat a mess, it's bloody colder than it usually is, people for checking school closures just because at least a couple of inches of snow is on the ground. Oy, it's a mess. Winter is messed up here... and strangely, I like it.

Winter eh? The North Eastern England, home to the Geordie. "The type of guy who could stand outside on an icy day wearing only a T-shirt." Not quite true really, my fellow man is like Arashi described, afraid of the cold. Here's what I see at christmas; While the rusty Angel stands in the coldest part of England, I've never remembered an icy/snowy/frosted/frozen slightly christmas. My christmas is the crispy dead underfoot. I have a brown christmas, not white. Where's the snow? It's in april, I'm not joking. The car was 6 inches deep in snow, we had to dig it out that saturday.
Right now the season is Autumn, but I always hope that unlike last year it will freeze up the landscape of dead trees. I have had weather recently that I can online describe as bone chilling sunlight. That is my way of knowing it's Autumn.
My opinion on winter? I love it, as I do the sunlight. Unlike many people, I long for the extreme temperatures. The type that would give you frostbite or sunburn. Although, I'm not fond of Autumn and spring, they feel worse than the bad news coming. Basically, if you're lazy you love heat, if you're active you go for the ice. I do taekwondo and can't exercise due to being weighed down by sweat. If that's not enough, christmas marks the line between autumn and winter, my first word was "Santa" so, just another reason to love the big freeze.
I'm done with my rant now, let's see what the rest of you think.

*Ganon* Me, fall and winter used to be an item, but they turned traitorous...
I moved to another country... now, they mean NOTHING to me!
If you're lucky enough, you could get hit by hail in the Baguio regions! =P
Hmmm, but alas, no snow.

Oi, oi... I have winter down here. I'm told that when I was about three or four, there was actually snow. I've seen sleet a couple of times, too.
But anyway, winter... I've never really been a fan. I like my weather hot. Just ask anyone that comes into my room in January. It tends to stay at a steady 80+ degrees (Fahrenheit) in there thanks to the heater. I'm going to have to lay off on it this winter, though, what with financial troubles plaguing the house. Can't afford to keep it running all the time.
Guess it's incentive for me to get a job.

Hopefully, winter won't be as bad as last year. I live up in Chicago and last year was so bad, plows were running out of salt to use on the roads. I was actualy running out of places to put the snow and it was stacked next to the driveway about three or four feet tall and school had to close for three days. After the third one, I actualy wanted to go back to school.

I'm Canadian too, and fffffffffffffff-It's cold already! I agree with Hot-Hit saying lazy people like the warmth, and I'm about as lazy as this board'll get. Stupid cold air outside my blanket, making me not want to get out of bed until 10 in the morning... and stupid school for forcing me out of bed anyways. >~<

No snow yet there, however, there WAS a hailstorm. Thankfully, I was home when it happened. Other than that, winter comes usually in late November or early December... Except one year when the first snow fell in February... -_-

Humm, well I've got hobo resistance to Florida winters since moving northish, but I miss Miami where all winter means the asphault doesn't stick to the bottom of your sneaker. I rarely turn on the heater or fan less I'm feeling particularly meh bout the weather, but I've gotten used to the cold here due to when I had my trailer. It was what one would call legally condemned.
I refuse to go anywhere above the Mason-Dixon line for fear of freezing into a block of ice. I've damaged the tempeture nerves skin side, so I only know it's cold when my joints stiffen.
I have no joy of snow, and have never seen it. Don't want to either..

Dangit, I wanted to call first snow. D: We had some a little before AP Chem was over. (around 2:30 PM)
I personally prefer sleeping when it's cold over when it's hot. It's just, I can't sleep in humid weather. I can't get comfortable. That's probably gonna be what makes me not wanna move to Florida or the like. Too sticky.
