(I would have posted in the previous thread, but it's over a month old, so...)
It was announced on the DOJO today that the game is being delayed once again...until March 9th on this side of the ocean. On the one hand, this means more updates (and, yes, more chances to see Captain Falcon on the DOJO site's updates, Rekai). On the other hand, it means WAITING ANOTHER MONTH TO PLAY IT.
Discuss/rant.

I said this on other forums before, but I'll say it here, as well. Nintendo is notorious for this. Remember Twilight Princess, how the release date got pushed so far back that it became one of the Wii's piolt games? Same thing is happening now, only wihtout the "being the next system's pilot game" bit. Nintendo wants to make the game absolutally perfect, so they're taking their time. Personally, I don't mind. You can never rush art. Let them have as much time as they need. I promise, the reward will be well worth the wait.

Making the game absolutely perfect isn't an excuse anymore. It comes out in Japan still in the month of January. That's not enough time to accomplish anything but make more discs. Japan just hates everyone else.

If that was the case, then why was the Wii released in NA BEFORE Japan? Making the game absolutely perfect isn't an excuse anymore. I must admit I agree with that statement. Trying to make a game too perfect by delaying it's release date almost always results in a crappy game for years of waiting *Points at Twilight princess*

Your explaination doesn't make sence. If that was the case, then why was the Wii released in NA BEFORE Japan? Well. Honestly. That was not even 2 weeks delay. And I will tell you why they released them in the Americas sooner than in Japan: Because they most likely have their biggest money there. But the games are STILL developed and published in Japan. You can't demand a book of an Italian author to be published in America before in Italy, they need time to TRANSLATE that stuff, you know. Same goes with video games. America does not have the RIGHT to have their games published before the Japanese. You should be happy if they do this, but they normally won't. I doubt it's Nintendo of Japan's fault, tho, more Nintendo of America's. Because they take longer to translate it.

Well, as I've pointed out elsewhere, they should be translating the work as they go, as I think they did with Melee (correct me if I'm wrong here, though). I'm betting that the "reason" for the delay is going to be setting up the Wi-Fi servers over here.

Well clearly the only solution to this problem is that the entire world either needs: A. to start speaking Japanese OR B. to start speaking English. Almost all problems have just been solved

This statement sucks officially. *puts stamp on it* *wham!*
Edit Explanation of this: Nearly the whole world already speaks English. Yet there are people who have to learn English at school, 'cause they're too young or just aren't comfortable in using English at games.
Besides - if everyone would speak the same language, the whole thing named "culture" would crash. Yes, languages are a main part of cultures.

well... Equal and opposite reaction comes in and in solving all problems starts new ones. Who would have guessed.
A friend told me that the reason for the delay was to make sure that Nintendo's servers could handle the strain that the masses of people playing the game online would generate, which almost seems logical, but it still doesn't explain the delay between Japan and America, unless it's going to take them that long to make sure that international fights will work fine as well. I don't see why it would take an extra month, but I've messed with networking before. It's complicated and aggravating.

I gave up shortly before going to snowpoint temple (the temple right after Arbitrer's ground). Why does nintendo almost ALWAYS make the water-like temple the longest, most riddled and most boring of their temple? Three of my friend (+ me) all agree that the Lakebed temple is the worst to do in TP

Abalagahalakadohikamaichokodenizowit!
In my language, translated to: "RAAAGH! Quit promising release dates if you're just going to extend them, Nintendo! I'd be fine with giving a release date in months.( E.g. release date March 2010[Because that's when they'll be done.]) PLEASE just let us know the release date when you're done!"</rant=uber>
PHEW! *collapses out of chair, raises finger*
"Oh, yeah, confirm Capt. Falcon for me, I don't want him gone!"
