Answer 1.1: I say it sucks because I've played a lot of other JRPGs, and out of this genre Final Fantasy is just so utterly generic and simple. The storylines extremely suck since (inclusive) FFVII, there's hardly character development, and when there is a dramatic scene, it is so overstretched that it is not sad because of the scene but rather sad because it's just ridiculous. Final Fantasy VI is good, IV is not bad either, but most of the others are plainly generic or suck balls.
Square-enix (and them separately) have done so many good JRPGs, but FF is just silly. Tho I prefer JRPGs from Namco, Atlus, Nintendo or Koei. <_<

It included a side-quest/main storyline event for all character's backgrounds... INCLUDING AMARANT, for those who were too negligent to notice; but yeah, the emotional bits are very unsatisfying. All except for Shadow's dreams.

Reaction 1.1.1: I played IX, and although what you say is true, and there is character development, the story is lacking here. Oh, and what me bugs, as well... In every FF-game there's at least one mage-girl who needs to be protected all the time (Rosa & Rydia, Lenna, Terra & Celes, Aeris, Rinoa, Garnet, Yuna), and is oh-so-girly.

Reaction: 1.1.1.1
Hum... Dude, Lenna isn't a mage (I always turn her into an archer/ninja and she's always the first to get the Multi-shot/Two weapons combo in my games). She doesn't need protection, (Galuf does) Celes isn't a Mage, And FF1,2,3,11 and 12, there isn't a mage who need protection all the time, get you facts right. And FFVII, while very overrated, have a decent storyline compared to some other RPGs *cough*mariorpgandbluedragon*cough*
Although, when I think about it... why the hell are we all arguing about a series I specifically ask NOT to include in the possible game list?

Answer 1.1.1.1: We talk about it because you in your post indirectly said FF is good. As for Mario RPG... I never said it was good. Never ever. I kinda like Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, because it's unusual, has good music and it has Mrs. Thwomp in it, who is awesome, but Super Mario RPG? This is by far the crappiest RPG ever made by Square, and Geno is the worst character inclusion ever made. He also looks crappy. Especially with those strange red stuff on his forehead. Now go and kill me, if you don't like this fact.
Also, Lenna is a princess and has so to say a sixth sense, and Celes has a magic ability. So I count them as mages. Even if you make Lenna a Berserk, to me she still is, initially, a person who knows about magic. Period.

Ugh, so Chrono Trigger's characters are all mages, except Ayla? Interesting. >_> BTW - said RPG will be released on NDS, just like they did with FF V/VI Advance (One new dungeon... And multi player). It may be a choice.

So, Chrono Trigger is part of the FF-series?

I just used your definition of Mages as characters who can use magic. It is not part of the FF-series by any means, though made by Square Enix as well.

Question 3: Which of these should I buy (I'm buying only one): 2000 wii points card (I want Kirby 64 and Pokemon Ranch), a Preppaid 60 day game card for World of Warcraft (I want to play with my brother and Friend and I don't mind paying to play this game), or Make a fully paid preorder for Resident Evil 5?

Answer 3: Definitely Wii Points card. WoW sucks a lot and Kirby 64 rocks.

I just used your definition of Mages as characters who can use magic. It is not part of the FF-series by any means, though made by Square Enix as well. Correction, it's a port. Therefore, it's still made by the same company, but being produced and published by Square Enix. :> Question 4:Why do people (lolgeneralizing) have such short attention spans? It's rather irksome. .-.

(To Shinji and Fay's Chrono Trigger dispute)
Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross are not Final Fantasy games. Although produced under the Square company, it's still not Square-Enix. Plus, both Chrono games have a completely different battle system. Or at least Chrono Cross does. To tell the truth, I've never...played...Chrono Trigger. But that's beside the point.
Answer 4.1: The reason that people have low attention spans is related to two different things.
1: Because the human brain can only function with 10% working at any point in time, the brain may want to move onto something very fast, therefore creating a low attention span.
2: Because people have made their lives so revolvant around the television that their brains have degenerated to the point where attention can only be payed to their own personal idiot box.
(revolvant adj., to revolve around something. To focus on something intently. Taken from the Greek root volv (To move). See also: revolve)

Answer 3: Well, I forgot I was going to have a bonus, due to overtime (My boss reminded me today lol) So I'll have enough money to afford all three, if I can't afford all 3, I'll still be able to get the two cards (Wii and WoW) And deposit about 10$ for RE5. And yes, I kinda became an RE fan since I tried RE4 Wii edition.

Ah, but Final Fantasy 12 would break that streak, now wouldn't it. There's no "mage-girl". There's a princess named Ashe. And she's not all that girly. Neither is Penelo. Ne'ermind. March already noted that. Oh and a question: QUESTION 5: I'm making up a band and I need an awesome name. I've got one already (ProtoGenesis) but apparantly my bandmates say nay. Any good ones?
