I lump all Bass chips together (except for Bass v1 and v2 in BN2), considering they're always Giga Chips in the games that have separate versions. Besides, BassAnomaly in the Japanese versions is called ForteAnother which pretty much translates to Bass+ to me, anyway....But... RockArm3 * (The entire series is slightly similar to the WaveArm series in BN6, but not enough to merit a repeat call. RockArm summons a virus that can actually play the role of a very short-lived obstacle, causes a minor immobilizing quake, then produces a linear shockwave. WaveArm is just a guided Shockwave.) ......What's the difference between the comparisons here?

The chips may come from the same virus and perform a similar action, but they are not the same. Mainly for the fact that Rockarm drops a virus that fires a shockwave upon landing, while WaveArm just fires the shockwave.
Pitting those two as one and the same is as silly as pitting HotBody and MoonBlade together.
However I disagree a little on the Forte one. EXE3 Forte+ is unique, as it's the only chip that features Forte's EarthBreak. The "regular" Forte Giga is the same in both EXE3, 4, 5 and 6, as all feature Forte's Rake Buster. EXE1 and 2 Fortes feature his AirBuster, and EXE4, 5 and 6 ForteAnother perform his Hell's Rolling. All in all, Forte+ is the only unique Forte chip.

That just strikes me as being a bit silly. (BTW, I do believe EXE3 Forte still uses the AirBuster.)

Alright, alright. I went and contradicted myself again.
I'm no expert on Forte chips, considering I rarely use them. I forgot there were no other "EarthBreak" Fortes around. Seems Bass+ is unique to BN3. I guess my Forte logic is pretty flawed.
