Guys, knock it off. I'm sure it started as a joke, but still. For the record, region doesn't matter when it comes to these games. Japanese, American, whatever. It's the same game.
So stop it. *shoves everyone back toward the topic*

Anyway... I've seen your roster of games for the NES and I've seen that it's pretty good except for 1 game that stood out: BURGER TIME?! The game's a bit too complicated for challenge taking. I'd say you should stick with TMNT as your best bet. Though, I've only played 1, so even I couldn't issue you the challenge you want... Hey, Burger Time's a classic, trying to get the mini chef to knock the hamburger parts down and complete the level, dodging the vile hotdog and garlic army while using only your wits and a shaker of pepper. Personally I'd rather get a game like Wizards and Warriors, multiple weapons, many ways to complete a level, rather a good game all around. ]The lines meant that I already took it back...and I said that I would delete it today, which I have. Please do the same and I'll delete this post as well. Okay, I pulled it, but I still stand by some of it. I feel that in spirit of competition, you'd have tried playing my games. I mean are you not challenge takers? Where's the fun of it, if you won't try new things I so happen to have gotten my hands on a copy of the battle network games I spoke of, but it cost me a good bit. Not everyone can afford this stuff. You know how hard it is to convince a little kid that I require their Pikachu Game Boy Advance? *sigh* It takes batteries?! There is no god.. Anyways, I got your games.. I would truely appreciate it if you consider using mine as well..

Well I'm not the best challenge taker here (obviously) but well i'll do my very best on the game and i'm soon going to unlock challenges in bn5 as soon as I get around to doing so (i've done the story at least 9 times now 0.0) but until then I suppose i'll do my best. Kayorei this is a great idea to do ^.^

Where's the fun of it, if you won't try new things What if your games are not fun for us? What if we aren't good in said games? =) Noone pressed you to buy BN or take part in this tourney. The challenge are in games, and not in playing as much games as possible. The sense of CTing is, that you have a game you're good in and people tell you something to do with said game. Not about offering a game you can't even beat the first level without dying.

I'm not "pressing" you to try my NES stuff, but I'm asking nicely for commonground in my spectrum, as I'm trying to compete in yours. If not, hey, no problem, just a request, you know? The way the rules where written, you bring to the table what you have, and I doubt my skills in Oil Panic for the Game & Watch is really going to shine.. I never said it was in playing as many games as possible, but a good list never hurt anyone, and they're diverse enough that one might appeal to you. I've a bit of skill in any game on that list ( Well, except Ghost N' Goblins, level 3 is the farthest I've ever gotten, but that in itself is a acheivement)

I know most of the games on your list and played them, but I'm not that good in them. I won't compete with you in them. =)
Now, back on topic please.

One last little note before I get ready to lay this little "CT vs. Armadox" topic to rest. I know most of the games on your list and played them, but I'm not that good in them. You do realize he's constantly iterating the same point to everyone else here, right? But at least he's willing to try, unlike apparently everyone else. He does have a point, after all. Yes, the present challenge taking is in games a person excels in, but the heart of it is the test of one's limits. How can one learn and expand upon one's limits if they're not constantly pushed? He's well within his rights to post the games he did. They may be old and maybe a little obscure, but they're still games that he's willing to compete with. He's even gone as far as telling you an easy place to get them from. If it was me, I'd try it, but of course, that's just me. It's no reason to completely reject him. Yes, it's going to make things a little tricky for me as the organizer, but this was something I had to be ready for and am willing to work around.

As I already said: I WOULD put them in, if I didn't knew that I am bad in them.

Okay... this is getting on my nerves.
This is definitely not what I had in mind when I started this thing. I really thought we could have some fair and fun competition, not having people at each other's throats just because one person doesn't have the games everyone else plays.
The way I see it, there's only one way to see this work peacefully: cut something out of the picture.
I see the problem as either Armadox for challenging the norm (which shouldn't even be a problem, but it sadly is... shows the state of the world...), you guys for attacking him (who are you to say who can and can't participate in a tournament I'm running? Let me take it up with them.), or the nature of the competition for simply being what it is.
Am I going to have to force everyone to get at least one game that everyone else has? Am I going to have to go back to the 100% Battle Network plan? Am I going to have to screen for tolerance? Am I going to have to boot Armadox? Or am I going to have to just call this whole thing off? I've seen bigger projects canned for lesser reasons, you know.
I don't want to do any of these, but I will if I must.

(who are you to say who can and can't participate in a tournament I'm running? Let me take it up with them.) ...Good point. It was an overreaction... ...So I've modified my list for an overlap with Armadox (even if it IS small right now).

i tried to stay out of this.... i probably should've done something..... but no one would listen... i really dont know what you should choose kay, normally id have a decision, but i cant help this time, most of those would be unfair, and some others may be impposible for some (possibly) i guess its the CT's decision this time....

Wow. So much anger and resentment in 12 hours...
I've taken multiple sides before, but everyone seems to be dangling (except for Kay and some others who didn't flame Armadox who are still the same and in the norm) on a single KB of truth making it impossible to choose from or whichever to deny...
Armadox just wanted to try challenge taking in different games which is the entire point of CTing. Not that bad considering others did it as well, we just weren't supportive coz of his old-school (bluntly, I liked some of the games he mentioned except for Burger Time where I couldn't beat level 10) choices.
Fay wants everyone to know it's about skill and execution. In which I also believe in. (That's why there are such a thing as impossible challenges...)
And others think otherwise (I just can't compile)...
This is just like a console war. We just have to live with other people's decisions and shut up. If they don't take our side, who are we to blame them?
Maybe we should just stay out of this thread for some time until a conclusion can be arrived upon and stop this arguement about the challenge and let the authorities handle the games assessment...
I think that's enough said. Maybe it's better if someone would lock this until the decision's done to prevent further flame from them BAD n00bs. That way, only the Ubermods and Administrator can post...

Every one should use BN3 or BN6 to even everything out.

STOP IT ALREADY... -_-
What if Kayorei would say "Everyone has to use BN 4,5 japanese version". Noone would participate... With a few exceptions.
